I'm a bookworm. I love reading everything about anything. Recently I got into reading Linguistics books, as language keeps fascinating me!
My own Shelfari philosophy: "You read a good book, you recommend it to friends" So waiting for all your recommendations bookholics!

    Well hello there :)

Thanks for dropping by here and for that thoughtful birthday wish ;)

So, the MJ book, huh? Some people were surprised seeing this book hanging on my shelf- not to mention that I've labeled it as "favorite". Well, Jackson's death in some very odd way has affected me; and I've found myself deeply intrigued to read about this enigma. Was he really a good or bad person? Why did all sorts of things happen to him? Why do so many people seem to love to hate him? Siimply phrased: Who is the King of Pop?

I never was an MJ fan. Sure, I've never stopped triying to moon-walk and robot dance in my living room and have deeply savored watching his dance moves. But it was not until he passed away that I got to know the real Michael Jackson and the reason so much chaos surrounded his life.

For me, the book was a flabbergasting read- though at several points, I didn't completely agree with the author. Nonetheless, it gave me precisley what I was looking for: data. Thus, I believe that the same would be said to whoever is driven to read this book by the same incentives that took me to it in the first place.

    That was long, huh? ;)

Anyhow, take care hun and thanks for the recommendation!

    Hey there :)

Well, I'm not a fan of science fiction. I read the first Harry Potter book and knew right away that this genre does not click with me. You seem to be a fan though ;)

I'm about to start with a novel called: "Middlesex". It speaks of those people whose gender is neither female or male. They seem so much entrapped with just deciding how lto ead their lives. It's so overwhelming when you put yourself in their shoes.

Anyhow, since I'm so much into spirituality, I'd recommend "The Power of Now" to you. It has altered the manner in which I live my day-to-day life.

BTW, I've recently wrote a piece in my blog; I've taken the opinions of most people I know. Check it out once you can and tell me what you think. It's entitled: "What Do You Know for Sure?"
