I've loved to read for as long as I can remember. I have fond memories of family (station wagon) vacations where I would read for hours upon end... and then my father would order me to put down my book and look out at the mountains, the ocean, the cornfields, etc...     I saw that you read Girl with a Pearl Earring. Did you like it? I saw the movie, and I actually kind of enjoyed, the girls I was watching with did not, but I wondered if I would like the book better.
