That is a good question (about the series). One option would be to have them on the series list but not numbered, but I think that would confuse a lot of people. Another option is to designate the complete Legends II as a collection and have the other editions be the components of it. But I am not sure that is the best approach because that makes it seem as if the two smaller editions came first and were later combined for a larger edition rather than the other way around. This would make the original (larger) Legends II show up as a collective work in the series list and the other two would be numbered (I wonder if it would let you have a 2a and 2b). I am not sure that is a good way to go. A third option would be to keep the smaller editions out of the series all together. I would recommend posting a question to the Shelfari Librarian & Editors group and see if anyone else has a suggestion. There always seem to be a lot of good ideas there. I do know that the Legends books come up a lot in the combine editions queue. They are not always clearly labeled as the two here and I have to use the ISBN number on worldcat.org to see which stories are in each one to see if they really should be combined. I wish there was an easier way to handle them.
Hi Christian, I just wanted to drop you a note to explain why I rejected your request to combine the Legends II books. Since the two editions were each only part of the originally published edition, it would not be appropriate to combine them with each other or the original edition that included all of the novellas/stories. Editions should only be combined when all the editions contain exactly the same text entirely. I hope that was clear, if not let me know. Thank-you so much for helping to keep the catalog accurate.
Thanks for the answer. I finally realized I should go to Flint's homepage and check and did find one. Really looking forward to both of them. I have the Virgina deMarce 1635: Tangled Web and it's rather boring. I prefer it when Flint and/or Weber has a hand in writing these stories.
I was wondering where you found the books 1634 The King of Bohemia by Eric Flint and Mike Speher and 1635 Sympony for the Devil by Eric Flint and David Carrico? I've looked at the Baen books website and they don't have it listed. I am interested in this series and have been reading it all along.
