Hi! We have a theme, and I've sent you a private message. Hope it gets to you o.k. Let me know if it didn't. Thanks!

Will do! It probably won't be till tomorrow, as the person who is choosing the main author already warned me she'd be away this weekend and back on Sunday (just in case she was chosen).

Hi, I hope you got my friend request with a note attached. :-) I've had some trouble lately with some personal messages. Not sure if there is a similar problem with friend requests, but I thought I'd let you know, just in case.

I should express myself clear next time. I meant The Shadow of the Wind. It's very absorbing and mystic. I love it.

Hi Lisa, I received your message and will send out your book tomorrow. It should reach you within a weeks time as it comes from Germany. I noticed you read my all time favorite book right now. I hope you like it. Molokai' is a very intense reading experience, full of emotions and history. It was probably the most swapped book in last years swap and as I did not end up with it I had to buy it immediately.

Hi there :). Could you please pop by the swap when you have a quick minute? The main event is over. I'm just trying to round everyone up for a final debrief. Many thanks.

Hi, Lisa. I'm so sorry for the late welcome, but I am here to welcome you to the Booktivity group.

Here's how it works: every month a category is voted on by our members. Depending what the category is for that month, you just need to find a word in the title that fits the category, read that book, and come back and post a review of it. OR, sometimes, it is a quality of a book that we are reading for. For instance, right now, in March, we are reading books published before the year 2000. Hope you’ll join us and have fun!

Hi Lisa! I'm here on behalf Author, Author and wanted to welcome you to our forum. February's featured author is China Mieville and we have two alternate authors, Terry Brooks and Douglas Adams. If you're interested, you can choose a book written by any (or all!) of these three authors, and after you've read it, please come post a review and star rating so the rest of us in the group know what you read and whether you liked it or not. Feel free to look through our past authors, or chime in about February's. Also be sure to stop in around mid-month each month and put your name in the drawing to pick an author. Great to have you with us. Happy Reading!

    Hi!
I haven't been in this group long, and this is my first real activity. I'm looking forward to it. Do we want to start a private group for our group? I think I saw that mentioned in one of the threads, but I can't find it now. Also, I'm mulling over ideas for a team name. Any thoughts?
    Later,
    Carla

    Tag! You're it for PBT!

The book: _Don't Sweat the Small Stuff...And It's All Small Stuff_

The quote (and it is a long one--I'm sorry!):

"Whether it is related to ourselves --a disorganized closet, a scratch on the car, an imperfect achievement, a few pounds we would like to lose-- or someone else's "imperfections"...the very act of focusing on imperfection pulls us away from our goal of being kind and gentle. [This] has nothing to do with ceasing to do your very best but with being overly attached and focused on what's wrong with life. It's about realizing that while there's always a better way to do something, this doesn't mean that you can't enjoy and appreciate the way things already are." (Carlson)

I am definitely going to start to stop and smell the roses...

I've already started it. It's interesting but dry so I can't seem to do more than a few pages at a time. Only 300 something more to go :::groan:::
