Takes place during the Civil War but has a number of references to being Jewish. Wasn't whatI was expecting. It was tough going at certain parts espcially when they were discussing the battlefield. Have you read the Yiddish Policman's Union. that was fascinating. I'm startign to enjoy reading about alternative pasts and futures, aka Roth's book and this.
