sorry! I could not come here as there was no internet/ cable connection (even the power for a day) for thunder, lightning, heavy storm and continual rain in West Bengal, our whole province! It was like a disaster and everything disrupted. I got cold and fever (headache too!). Just now, rising in the morning, I found the internet-connection is o.k. My daughters and husband, all are fine. Al together, we are great! What every family does, we do too! When we meet after some time, we hug and say hello! If the Truth is some kind of great, then the reality is more than romantic imagination! So, regarding my family, what happens, happens, I need not imagine anything in advance :) :) :)What about you? I went to the Travel Club and I can't find the one regarding Egypt.I've lost several different captions. I don't know if they were deleted orit is just my computer.Go to the Egypt posting and post me a note. Maybe I can find it that way.
Oh Nefrtetee - I was not being angry, I was trying to be funny also. My computer can't write arabic, but I can print it off and take it to the library and see if I can get it translated. If I can ever get moved to Phoenix, AZ where my family is located, I am sure their colleges are big enough to teach arabic. I live in a very small town and their language courses are very limited. If you are willing to teach me what you can via the computer, I will do my very best to learn. I love you and miss you dear big sister. Lee
i saw your generous offer to teach lee arabic. i wonder can you tell me at least some basics? i know only a tiny bit of spanish and almost no french or italian, and dont even have a clue how the arabic language works. and how do i type in arabic? are there more or less leters in the alphabet? anything would be useful, if you have the time. i doubt i would ever be good at it, but would love to at least have a little sense when i see a word or phrase....
You're right it's not fair. When will I be able to talk my grandparents language is a very good question for which I don't have an answer. No one teaches it in my city and I would have to learn to speak as well as write the language. You at least have a good command of my language. I will promise you when I can get to the library again I will look into finding books that I can self-teach myself.I have an idea - email me in arabic to my email address I will have someone print it off for me and take to the library and see if I can translate it or get a translation OK!!!
