Hehehe! :) I noticed, but I wasn't going to say anything. I'm working on Catching Fire, don't worry. There are lots of twists and turns that leave me with my mouth open in awe! I still am not sure if I completely like the books or not, though. Thanksgiving was aight. You?
I know, I am such a loser. I logged back in for you! Also, I tried to log in a few weeks ago and totally forgot my login e-mail.
Yes- I have read Catching Fire. What did you think...Don't say predictable : )
Hi Andrea!!!! Nice pic in the Penny Saver with Mr. Swanson! We need to get together sometime soon just to catch up. Did you read Catching Fire after Hunger Games?
Book 29 down.... Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cover- pretty funny
Did you read it yet?
I would never consider picking up a book with that title. The title makes me yawn. Good luck with that. I've been too busy writing lately to read. I need to pick up This Lullaby and start reading. Maybe I will tonight with a cup of homemade hot cocoa. :) Oh, shush. I did too finish it. Or, at least I plan to. Maybe when I'm, like, twenty. ;)
Just hit the half-way mark at 25!
33- how many have been audio books?!?! What is City of Thieves about?
Haha I thought you would appreciate that! :) I'm kind of out of it...I read a new novel in a series that I've been reading since I was 11, so that was great. :) I'm STILL working on Jane Eyre. I'll read it for a couple of days, get in 50 pages or so, and then put it down for a couple of weeks. I really need to pick it up again today, though. My heart just hasn't been in it this summer to read. The stupid thing is that I started Jane Eyre in June and was so proud of myself...and now here I am two months later still reading it lol. I'll finish it sometime this week. I have to since they're starting school a week earlier. (Which probably won't happen because of the water situation.) I miss you! Can't wait to have you for Shakespeare! And I am SOOO stoked for creative writing too!!!
So I just finished book 23... what about you?
Hehe, thank you! It was a painting on the wall inside Chocolate World. :] Someone said "hey! It's Emily and Christian!" so I snapped a quick pic. :] I've been working on Jane Eyre since school let out. I feel like I'm getting so far, and then I find that I still have 200 pages left. It's discouraging. I haven't picked it up in a couple days. "/ I like it, I just don't understand the point of the novel lol. I have only read one book so far this summer. I don't feel like reading either. I feel awful, but I'm finding so much other stuff to do. I had my first articles in the Pennysaver published over the weekend. One on the front page. XD Not the biggest accomplishment in the world, but I'm starting small, you know? Thank you for getting me started. I owe everything to you and your encouragement. And I desperately need to find my journal! It's driving me crazy that it's out in the world alone somewhere! There's nothing wrong with you. You just need a break from books. Me too. I'm totally with you.
please help! How do I add a book to my shelf?????????
I guess I could tomorrow... :]. Well, I was already irresponsible enough, what with losing my permission slip for permission to be in English 11 Honors and then asking her for a new one. I did not want to bug her more and show just how very irresponsible I am. That looks bad, you know? Especially because I usually am not irresponsible at all. I'll come in tomorrow and show you my finished portfolio before I take it to the Pennysaver office for Mrs. Pankow to look at. (I am already guaranteed a job - she just has to see some of my work.) SQUEE!!! :D
haha nah it wasn't for shelfari i promise, i wouldnt ditch you guys like that :d but i was home so i figured what the hell why not update this beast, lol.
Yes I did! And I really like it! I have this excellent copy of it of my mother's that has a nice soft leather-ish cover and looks like an old antique book. The pages are gold on the sides and everything! Haha like your copy of Lamb. :]In my end-of-the-year tizzy, I lost my assignment sheet for it for the summer...so I'm being cautious about how much I read for fear of missing something that could have been used on my reading cards. "/
I enjoyed the Shack- a book that makes you think after and questions my views on religion.
Hey you! Neil just finished fight club yesterday. I feel like you two are made for eachother...
Fight Club will definitely spice things up. I have not read the book, but now I plan to since viewing the movie (which was awesome). I read good books...but nothing life changing so far..."/. I just haven't found the right one, I suppose. I love Gemma's character..I loved the whole series in general...but then the ending of the last book was a disappointment. I just wanted Gemma and Kartik to be together and make English Indian babies. XD What are your thoughts? (Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner!)
So, about the Beatles bio, i read that for the first.....20 something pages, and then i just couldn't read it anymore. I get too distracted when I read it :). mahaha
