    Hmmm Julie,

A Great book of Choice, and I Love the Writer, he's been a favorite of mine, through the years. Yes, I remember when the Africentric thingy....was going around, and getting quite popular in it's early day. But more about that at another time; right now, I just feel the need to applaud Ur Choice of Reads.

    Jas

Hmmm, may I make a Suggestion to U? From Superman To Man....Another Great Read, one should have in their reading collections

    Hi Julie

Thats never a picture of you.... it doesnt even look like a real cat. Its photoshopped or stuffed!

I see that like me, you loved Roald Dahl’s timeless book ‘Witches‘. I have read most of his work and now and my daughter and I both love them.

If you like his humour and storytelling then you might like to try my book “Toxcioda Reeks” which is written in a similar style.
It's rated 10 out of 10 for humour and 11 out of 10 for craziness!

I mean, it has words like this:

The badger was also very interested to learn about why humans go making and using and collecting and spending something called ‘money’. Jack tried his best to explain the whole concept of pocket money and how it all worked. The badger thought money would be a wondrous thing for badgers to get into if they had the time. He even asked what it tasted like.

If you like Dahl then you have to read about the strange tales in the town of Rusty Springs! There is even a fifty word sentence where every word starts with the same letter!
It’s available on Kindle and I would love to hear what you think.

    best wishes

You're reading The Witches! I have wonderful memories of reading that to my daughter. It was fall, we sat outside on the big swing, she hung on every word. Hands down our best together-read. So much fun.

P.S. Lovin' seeing the Doctor Who books in your TBR! I'm a sucker for David Tennant narrating audio books to me. My girls are complaining because we've been busy the last few days and Saturday's episode is still waiting for us on the DVR ...

My understanding is that it's Universal Studios and it'd going to be a big screen deal. There's lots of speculation about how they are going to pull that off and who will star, but we shall see.

I'm reading book 6 in the World of the Lupi series:
    http://www.shelfari.com/series/World-of-the-Lupi

It's really good, the whole series is good. It's funny, in a lot of ways it reminds me of the early Anita Blake Vampire Hunter books. The lead character is this hard edged Chinese cop with a strange magical ability. On a case she comes into contact with a Werewolf and of course, they have the hots for each other, ha. It's mostly urban fantasy, though there are strong romantic elements.

    Enjoy

There you go. You know there will be a lot of copies there in the next 6 months once all the news dies down. Did you see they are going to make 50 Shades into a movie?

I call it the curse of 11/22/63...I read it before Christmas and haven't really found a book I can really get into since. It is one of my all time favorites...I think you could have taken out all of the Kennedy line and I would still have loved it.

    Dear Megan.

Thank you letting me know about the lack of my book in the UK stores. I have taken care of the problem and you will soon see my book on Amazon UK. I will email you as soon as that happens, but it should be a matter of days. Unfortunately the price
will now be $15. The book will not provide me with royalties but it will get exposure and that's the most important thing. Thank you so much.

    Have a great weekend.

    Hello Julie.
Unfortunately i only sell kindle books outside of the US. I was told that if I wanted to distribute print books worldwide, I would have to raise the price, and I didn't want to do that. Amazon US will ship it to you but it may take a week. I feel like I am caught between a rock and a hard place but I will try to find a solution. I am sorry about the inconvenience. I look forward to hearing from you.

I just commented on your Devil in the White City on PBT with links. I thought I'd repost it here to be sure you got it:

http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/episode/madness-in-the-white-city-3452/Overview (Rather than Devil in the White City, they called it Madness in the White City and they interviewed Larson). There's somewhere on there that will tell if they re-broadcast.

and a youtube short vid of the above: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ngPdCdWgug

If you put Chicago World's Fair in the Google search there are "pictures from the world's fair" there among other links.

naah i actually like maggie once she grew some guts and stood up for her self. i hate cristabel though. and some of those men were horrible. it sucked how they didnt realise how awesome women were until after the war and that there was no big fuss made. they should have had to do a big apoplogy and everything.

thought so. mum's dog is extremely talented, but won't pose for a photograph. i laugh at how your profile says that you have your own library. haha that's what people say about me except i seem to keep buying books. i could probably just go to the library but theres something about buying books and owning them. i think it's like a peculiar shopping addiction. and i looked at what books we have in common and realised that they are mostly ones on my plan to read list. but i am reading "crooked pieces" by sarah grazebrooke right now and getting close to finishing it. i think so far that it is very thought provoking.

Save your photo from the e-mail to "My Pictures"... You do that by right clicking on the photo & click again on "Save Image". Then when it asks where to save it, you click on "My Photos" and double click....

I'm thinking that you do know how to get it back here...because you've got a photo here....
