I finished Eats, Shoots & Leaves this weekend. I'm not sure if I liked it...Truss' sarcasm and cynicism become a bit too much, I think. Parts are funny, it's just that, well, she's quite mean at times. Ah well.

You like Catching Fire then? It's not that the books are necessarily well-written or thought-provoking, they are just interesting and suspenseful. When I want something substantial, I'll go to the classics and steer clear of YA lit!

How are you enjoying Three Cups of Tea? Does it read like a story or documentary?

Actually the title is _From Sea to Shining Sea_ and it is most definitely not my own personal pick. Thanks. I need all the luck I can get. In fact, I should be reading right now to fill the half an hour time requirement but I am on Shelfari instead. *sigh*

    Keep writing.

Okay. So I am forcing myself to read for at least a half an hour a day. It has actually helped with my reading slump. I just can't get through this Lewis and Clark book. It is getting a touch better (since it has moved on from the Revolutionary War, thank God!) but the novel itself is just so PG that I am bored!

...I am not sure you can put Jane Eyre up there on your shelf since you technically did not finish the novel...hmmmmm...interesting that is.

Your "About Me" section up there is hysterical. Remember our little convo about "just not feelin' it"? Well, I am happy to report, I am out of that funk. I had to kick start it by reading Moore--The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove. It did it. I brought four books with me while I was out doing the Northwest thing and I finished them all. I am about to begin reading another novel in a series that I am not particularly fond of, but it comes highly recommended.

What did you think of Jane Eyre? That novel is perhaps the only novel that Propp and I both like tremendously. ...and I really believe that I am Jane! The similarities are all there...

Cute profile pic. I've been so bad...I haven't been *GASP* reading at all. Well, not true. I have one million (or --literally-- 100) magazines I have been catching up on. I have two novels I want to get through but I just don't feel like reading or something. I like the books...I just don't feel like sitting down to read them. Ughhhh! What's wrong with me?!?

Ughhhhhh, I am in such a rut with all of the terrible novels I have been reading lately! Do you ever feel like that? It seems to be cyclical. I will read the most phenomenal, life-changing, epiphany-sparking novels and then...crap. I seem to be in the "Crap" stage. I am going to be starting Fight Club and I hope that breaks this dry spell...

Just wanted to pop a note in and say hello!
