Hi. Did you like The Curious Incident book? I've read similar stories and can recommend them.I also like David Sedaris and Jack Kerouac and The Beat writers.A friend loves the Lolita story and it inspires her poetry.I've read some older Stephen King.
Hi! I noticed you suggested PSBucks' book, "The Good Earth" should be listed in the 1001 books You Must Read Before You Die. I've started to reread the classics, and I have to agree. It surprises me that this author was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature and isn't more widely read. It looks like you have an interesting library.
Thank you, but it wasn't really a review of The Stranger, it was more of my own opinion of Camus' works, style and topics. I think that his essays, non-fiction and fiction are all as important as each other and worth reading. His style is very clear and he doesn't need an excess of words to write about the profound topics he wrote about (*cough*Sartre*cough.*)And to oppose nihilism is, I think, amazing. Camus is awesome. :DOh and happy reading? Haha, I wish I could say that about The Stranger but I was left with an errie and melancholy feeling after reading it...hehe
