    I Love you

I love you to the moon
I love you to the end of the planets.
I love you till there's no love in the equator,
I love you knowing nothing could be greater,
I will love you from now until decades later.
Let me love you now, not later.
    Let me love you to
    Northern skies,
    Western hemispheres,
    Without worries, fears or cares.
    Allow me to love you,
    Until you care, blossom up,
    Open up-heal from old wounds
that you suddenly, slowly start to share.
Our love is genuine-it can't compare.
Now your love has opened up wide
Like a brand new gift on Christmas day
See what happens when you allow
    Someone to love you.

Hi Sherry… I posted a bit of Ross MacDonald’s work in the comment just above yours: in raji’s post, in the sespense group. The reason I did is because Ross MacDonald is greatly over looked by the public even though he was instrumental in developing the grime fiction genre as it is know today. Give it a read and see if you think his work would be something you’d like to get into.

Another great writer in this field (though contemporary) is James Lee Burke. A good one to start with his is ‘Jolie Blon’s Bounce’. It is the 5th latest one of his but really is a good one to start with because Burke’s style really came into it’s own from that point on (not to say his earlier works are not good—in fact 'Black Cherry Blues', is great!)

Hi, Sherry - good to get your note. Yes, sometimes I'm blessed with places to travel, although as I get older the "gypsy in my soul" takes a bit more to get off his duff! When my husband died 15 years ago I figured that gypsy could have a chance to be taken care of, but $$ sometimes gets in the way now.

Thanks about the picture - my daughter encouraged me to change the avatar. And the books - what would we do without them? I just got three more in the mail (I bought them) and expect 1 more from PBS, just bought 5 at a UBS and more at a church rummage sale. And I didn't really NEED any because I have shelves full. Addiction = pure pleasure.

    Sherry,

Wow! I'm sorry things are still so difficult. If you qualify for disability that might be an option. If you do go that route could you volunteer with a non profit that you feel passionately about it cause? Volunteering is a great way to stay connected and feel like you are making a difference.

Things are good here. We have settled into the new house and the job is very satisfying. It is always scary to step off into something new, but it was a good move for all of us. It cuts DH drive to work by 1 hour and I rarely have evening meetings so we get to see each other more.

I continue think of you guys and hope things get better soon.

Good to hear from you. I was wondering how the job search was going. Not so good, huh? What about your husband? Has things picked up for him? How is the new place? Good to hear from you. I sent you an invite to WE. Don't know how that would have happened.

No problem, Sherry (about "rattling on" as you called it) - I enjoy your postings, no matter what, and venting is good for you, they say. What a tale that is about your job situation and the interviews. Been there, done that about paying bills - and trying to disappear, too! Thankfully, that's long in the past; my retirement checks come regularly! And I can sympathize about your boy, too - I was one of those "poorer ones" in a Parochial school, and all the cops' and firemens' kids had it all. There were three of us sisters attending, and a brother, one right after the other. We often felt that "second-class" (or worse) situation. But the education was worth it.

Nice that you live so close to your library - do you walk there sometimes? Of course, if the weather's anything like it's been in MA, walking is no fun - it's been cold, rainy, raw, - you name it. And my sister just visited for all that stuff, from California, where it's always sunny and they can PLAN the days it will rain! She's going home tomorrow and it probably will get nice after she's gone! LOL.

Hi, Sherry - So sorry about your not finding work yet. What a pain it must be to have to go to the library for computer use each time. Is it far? There's one woman on here who has to drive a l-o-n-g way (200 miles??) to a library, but I'm sure it's not you! LOL.

The job situation is terrible; makes me glad I was so lucky when I needed work. I've been retired for over 15 years, but only held down one fulltime job, one part time that I treated as full time because I loved what I did, and lots of part timers, from 3 hrs. per day to 5 hrs. per day/night. But they were easily acquired; just find a notice in the paper and off I went, got hired. Of course, most were not skilled jobs, we just needed some extra money for a little while, and I live in a big city. But, then, so do you; it's got to be the times we live in; things have changed so.

Hi, Sherry - have things in your life changed any? And are you still having to use the library's computer? Since I've been back in MA, it seems like there isn't as much "action" on the ROR pages; don't know if everybody's gone on vacation or what! This month has been pretty busy, though.

Yes, Sherry - I'm doing just fine. So sorry to hear you've not been up to par. That bug - it's rampant all around. It kind of petered out a couple of weeks ago here (lots of over 60's in this park) after a couple of months of awful stuff. Then yesterday my two friends came home after (believe this?) a 50-day cruise (!!) around S. America; and they both have been fight that bug for 2-3 weeks. Out of 3500 on board, they feel at least 3000 had it. Hope that doesn't start the thing going around again here. And I just got a call asking if I'd drive them to the store for groceries - it's raining and their car cover is soaked. Sure, I will - but ooooooh.
Sad, too, about the job news - and your internet, too. I hope some good things are happening to offset all this travail. Usually it's kids; they can make things look better just by being. Family games, etc. will do it, too, we found.
But do keep going to use the library's internet - love to see your additions here. Thanks for taking the time to post to me.
