Hey Toastie,Great hearing from you. When the weather starts to warm up I'll be doing a little less reading and spending more time outdoors. There is no better way to get through the cold winter months than a good book. If I come across anything really good you will be the first to know. You are still and always will be my best book buddy. Your shelf just keeps getting bigger all the time. I'll write you soon. Ric
They should have let us do the casting! I would have had Whoopi goldberg as Lulu (if we could make her heavier)I think Debbie Reynolds is a good casting for Gramma muzar
Yummy! on Daniel Sunjata! Jason O'Mara isnt bad as I never thought os Joe as a hottie but more of as a rugged tough guy...don't know this fellow as an actor though. As for Stephanie......I could have seen Drew Barrymore in that role or perhaps Sandra Bullock...Katherine Heigel is just too dainty and feminine.Off to enjoy the sunshine!Have a wonderful day!
I dont think it matters which one you read first (overly) I just know Unzipped is the first one....I laughed over it but it is VERY reminiscent of One for the money, etcLooking forward to seeing that movie although I dont know if Katherine Heigel would have been my choice for Stephanie Plum...who do you see as her if you got to choose? Who plays Ranger?Big hugs to you my lovely lady!
Just finished Unzipped by ook!Lois Greiman. If you like the Stepahnie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, you will like this one...Funny, funny book!Hugging you beautiful one!
Hi Toastie,I 'm doing the same thing as you. I am half way through a John Sanford book "Storm Prey" which is really good so far. Today I just picked up two more holds at the book mobile, Hell Bent by William G Tapply, & White Sister by Staphen J. Cannell. Not to mention that I have more on the way.Our Lodi library has been closed since Thanksgiving. Its a brand new buildingand it has structural issues. They told me it could be a year before it reopens. They have the book mobile in the librarys parking lot 3 days a week so you can pick up holds and return books. Kind of sucks but it better than nothing.Hey, we just about it through one of the worst months of the year. One more bad one to go and we will be thinking of spring. your buddy, ric
Thank you..Christmas famiy outing
Hi Gorgeous.Killiing Kelly is boring, not really worth reading. THe one I am readingn ow, Tess Gerritsen, The Mephisto Club is very good. The Secret Daughter by Shilipi Gowda is worth reading.Hope all is fabulous with you Toastalliscious!
Happy New Year,How are you enjoying this great weather for this time of year? You know we will pay for this. I hope I'm wrong but its been too nice for too long, especially for the coldest part of winter.Have you read anything good? I have a Lisa Jackson & a John Sanford novel in front of me. I also have " A Fine Line " by William G Tapply waiting here to be read, which I found on your shelf. Not sure which one will be first, but I'm pretty sure they will all be good.I hope your holidays were good. Now that they are over I'm ready for spring. I can't wait to go mushroom hunting. Morel mushrooms are what perch are when it comes to eating. You just have to lov-em. Take care my friend and I'll write you soon, Rich
Happy New Years my beautiful friend!Christmas was lovely with both my kids home and my mother in law down from Calgary (she is still here actually) Busy times so not a lot of reading but what I did was good. "Sing you home" by Jodi Piquolt, but her books always are, "before I die" by Jenny Downham was a bittersweet book and well worth reading. I have the "Secret Daughter" by shilpi somaya gowda that I will start soon. How were your holidays? How are you? Did you do anything fun for New Years??Much love [3 Stacy
Great, I hope you enjoy it. I have read quite a few in the series and enjoyed them all. Not sure exactly how you search on here, but I've written reviews of all the ones I've read. The author lives in the area she writes about, and I read she is an avid fisherman. Should you decide to buy more of the books, or any others really, I highly recommend Half Price books. They have a web site www.hpb.com They have a network of used book stores and you can often get books like this series for a very good price. Some are only a couple dollars and they ship with the Post Office and shipping isn't too bad either. Hope you enjoy the book.Marilyn

Hi Toastie,Just finished a Lisa Gardner book that takes place in the mountians of northern Georgia. Some of the places they mention are right next to where we bought our property. Makes it kind of special when your reading. It was a good book and I have you to thank for it. Your the one who turned me on to Lisa Gardner & Lisa Jackson a few years ago. Like I told Stacy, if you recommend something, its good!! I just started a new book named Shiver by L. Jackson. Not into it far enough to say anything. I'm trying to finish up everything before Christmas. Have a good week. ric
