Hi Toastie! Nice to meet you too. Thanks for the kind words--you made my week! Since the publisher decided not to continue the series, Josephine has been enjoying the good life with no dead bodies to trip over. I don't know when she'll be back in a book. I do have a new novel coming out from Pearlsong Press in June of next year--Bride of the Living Dead--not a mystery but a romantic comedy for women who love movies too much.Take care!Lynne
Hi, Gorgeous. Are you in Facebook?By the way, there is hope for retrieving all the MDD files through www.archive.org. Am going through the slow, tedious process of searching, copying, and pasting.I was so devastated when I found out MDD was gone.
You could not have said anything that would have made me happier! I love that you are sharing them. This was the perfect note to come home to.How are you feeling? Tracy
I am soooo sad. I cried a little bit earlier, and my chest is just starting to feel better. It was so tight and heavy earlier. I emailed eric@bored.com. I hope and pray to get a response. We're internet BFF. :) I am glad I met you, even if it's online.
oh nooooooooooooooooooooooooo! i didn't know mdd shut down. i was in the process of copying and pasting my posts, but didn't get to finish thinking i could take my time. wow!!! a huge part of my life just disappeared. HUGE!!! is there an address i can contact to to find out if i can still get my files?
Hello to one of my biggest fans. Probably my only fan. :D We were just messing around with our names in one of my groups. How are you? I should check out X sometime to catch up on you and the others.
Well now that it's fall in Ohio, it's time to start reading again!Tracy
Greetings Shelfari friend!Haven't been around much recently, too busy with life! How are things with you?Read anything good recently?I'm on my 75th book so far this year!Hope all is well...
Hi Toastie,Thanks for accepting. Its great to read books and get to discuss favorites with others. I love reading and I am always happy to give recommendations and read others' recommendations. James
Well, I'm still active on xanga every day almost. Not so often here. I mostly try to stir the water in the Christian groups, but not a lot of water to stir here lately. See ya on the other side. ;-)
I'm so glad! I can't tell you how frustrating it was to find books I really liked and connected with, and not have anyone to share them with. That probably is a little silly isn't it? I have some pathological need for other people to enjoy things I enjoy! :)I hope vacation was fantastic.Tracy
Thanks for the heads up on Barbara Colley. I love my library's online catalog, but sometimes it brings disappointment, and this was one of those times! Nothing by Colley!! I'm making a note for my next bookstore trip. My latest "find" is Valerie Wolzien. As it happened, I picked up two titles from different series, and liked them both: Josie Pigeon and Susan Henshaw.
It's nice to have another vacation to look forward to isn't it? I think the weather is going to be about perfect this week, I hope it sticks around for the week of July 12th for you. We haven't planned our next vacation yet. I don't think we'll do a big one this summer, maybe just a couple of long weekends. We need to go back to the Cleveland zoo. It was so ridiculously hot that we really didn't get to look around much. We love zoos. :) Now that I'm talking about it I think I'll go email my husband and see if he wants to start a plan. We're also going to do a day at Put-n-Bay, because it's really a travesty that two people who have lived in Toledo all of their lives, have never been there!I hope it's a wonderful and quick week for you.Tracy
Just added you! And, yes! You're welcome to browse my shelf -- part of the reason I joined the Cozy Group. Most of these authors have been new to me in the last couple of years, and that's all I'm trying to keep up with on this account. It's helped me keep from falling into the trap of re-buying titles that have been reissued with new cover art, and to match up with my library's online card catalog! And, I agree - it's been my new "guilty pleasure!" A definite departure from Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta and similar ones in that genre or the British police procedurals I went through a decade or so ago!!
Hi Toastie,I have not read any Edna Buchanan. I bought one several years ago and still have not picked it up. Thanks for the tip.
Hey Toastie,Nice to meet you too. It's fun to find out what people read and pick up a few new writer names along the way. (Although there's always a chance that the books are not yet in dutch.)See ya,Eric
That is interesting! It is nice to meet you too!
I know what you mean. I need my daily Shelfari fix. LOL
Toasted nuts:Have I lost your friendship?JASS!
I like the look of them, just have to find some out on the shelves of the real world now!
