Hi Nicole,I really liked "A Thousand Spendid Suns," and I, too, thought it better than "Kite Runner." It's a story about the growing relationship between two women in a culture and situation that is not conducive to women's forming supportive relationships. I recommend it strongly.Best, Alice Olson
