You asked if you should read Deathly Hallows. Yes, but only if you've read the previous 6 books in the series. They are a quick read and wouldn't take an avid reader very long to get through the whole lot. I think they were definitely worth reading.
A definite must read, but only if you've read the others. The entire series is amazing and has wonderful character development for the main players from the charming innocence of youth to the darker and more complex coming of age. These books are a part of popular culture and will be referenced for years to come. You would be wise to read and decide for yourself whether you like it or not. Personally, I couldn't put any of the books down.
What Carl said. Both the print and the audio editions are excellent IF you have read the first six. The conclusion of the series is overdone and confusing even if you are familiar with the series. I'm in the middle of going through the series for a third time-- this time as audio books. Jim Dale's readings are wonderful and make the books go fast.
