I wouldn't bother with "In the Skin of the Lion". I didn't love "Journey" but did like it. It wasn't nearly as good as his other books so if you don't like it, don't read it. "Custodian of Paradise" does start well but gets stupid about half way through, but by that time you are hooked! But an easy read...so what the hell.Dylan Thomas once wrote that there is so much written in this world that it is a waste to spend your time on something that you are not enjoying. I am not sure I would take too much life advice from him, but in this case it might not be a bad idea.Danette and I have picked our next book in our little "book club". We thought that after Atlas Shrugged we needed to "lighten up" a bit...any guesses? ;)I also just started "Sons" by Pearl Buck and although I am only a few pages into it, I think I am going to enjoy it. I am struggling with Orwell book you gave me about London and Paris...just finding it very draggy and dull. Maybe I should take Dylan Thomas' advice....
I owe you a better book as a belated Christmas present! I just finished the tango book and didn't like it! Sorry!
Thanks for giving me Pillars of the Earth. I loved every page. I noticed Thomas Wolfe "you can't go home again" on your shelf. I thought you had read this a couple of years ago in the Keys - what am i confusing this with?
