What a great story! An unusual idea that can lead to all kinds of places. Of course, I've found that there are several books that follow...seems like everything's a series these days! I'm looking forward to reading more.

Wow...this book was written 55 years ago and it is amazing! It is sad and distressing, don't get me wrong, but the characters in this book are so alive and well portrayed. It is the end in a dignified way and I really, really enjoyed it!

Kyle Idleman very clearly explores the difference between a fan and a follower. There is a lot to think about and pray about in this book. I know I'll read it again and if you want to have a better idea of what kind of relationship Christ wants with you, I highly recommend this book.

A fun quick read. I like the character of Odd Thomas and I enjoyed this graphic novel.

I really enjoyed this! I didn't agree with all of it, but it definitely kept my interest and the further I got into the book, the harder I found it to put down. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed this book! It brings the early 1900s and homesteading alive as we read of grand vistas, difficult situations, and adventures of life!

I didn't like this book for a long time. The beginning - well, let's just say I didn't really give a hoot about the characters and I felt the wife was way over reacting to the situation. I liked the way different characters gave their point of view. This story had more twists and turns than a West Virginia Road. I was disappointed that there wasn't more growth of the characters - that while secrets were uncovered, the book still seemed 'empty' of personal growth and change.

I really enjoyed this book. I think the thing that I enjoyed most was going back to the late '50s and early '60s. Not an ideal time, but a lot to be said for it and a lot to make us happy we are where we are. Mr. King explores the interesting topic of time travel, but doesn't really break new ground. However, he does give us plenty to think about!

I was a big fan of Dean Koontz in my teens and 20s, but I have lost my connection with his work. I had a really hard time reading this book. I found it too gruesome, the idea that he was delving into- too dark. It wasn't until the final 100 pages of the book that things really got moving and I really couldn't put the book down. I don't mind characters being in difficult situations, but in this they seemed to be in an impossible situation and the last 100 pages - while action packed, also left me with the thought...do I really believe that a family could have done what they did in the end after they were all so divided in the beginning. These are just my meanderings, you may love the book, but I believe I am done with reading Dean Koontz.

I found this book to be disjointed and too much going on in it. The author really hit her stride in the second half of the book which helped pull it all together, but I had a really hard time just getting through the first half of the book. I think part of the problem was a lack of character development. So horrendous things were happening to people and I didn't care, because I didn't know them enough to care about them. I did like the fact that in the end, everything wasn't all tied up and tidy and there was a bit of a twist I wasn't expecting.
