I enjoyed this tale for the most part. The Jewel of Seven Stars is about Egyptian mysteries. I enjoyed it all up to the end, which I was most dissatisfied with - it just felt chopped off.

Tolstoy knows people! This book is amazing as it follows the lives and changes and thoughts of several very interesting characters. We watch as Levin muddles his way through facts and in the end finds hope. We watch as Anna and Vronsky deal with their love and its affect on others. We see Oblonsky not change very much, but is loved by all...or is he? When you read this book, you come to know these people, and it is not hard to do so because they are you, me, our friends and family. Tolstoy was a master of the human psyche!

I had only read Bram Stoker's Dracula. I have been reading some of his other books via my Kindle. He was an awesome storyteller and if you enjoyed Dracula, or if you enjoye stories of horror or mystery, you will love these!

What a book! I admit to reading this because of the references to it in Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan. It gives a whole new depth of meaning to that Star Trek movie. What a moving tale!

I actually don't have the audio CD of this book, I read it on my Kindle and I loved it! It is actually a story of a person who just got a Kindle, and I got it right after I got my Kindle. It was the first book I downloaded. Stephen King did a great job!

    The Forest

This book was good and well written and makes me want to see this area of England. The style however made it hard for me to get through. He followed an area of the world and the families that lived there for generations. I would get interested in one story line and then it would come to an end and I would have to get to knowing another storyline and different characters. Personally, I found that detracted for me, but that is just me.

I have read the Dark Tower series. While meandering at Barnes and Noble the other day, I saw this in a bargain bin and picked it up. I love the Marvel adaptation and I enjoyed it so much that I just purchased the rest of the series!

  • Mister B. Gone

I have long been a fan of Clive Barker's writings and some of his movies. This was an intriguing book because of the way it is written, though I figured out pretty early on what was going on. I found the 'Secret' to not be that 'secret'. Still, it was a fun read!

This book took a while for me to read, mostly because I have been so dang busy! I loved the way it is written. The perception of events shown to us through the eyes of four different authors. And as you read through the whole thing, you obtain a complete picture of the events that occured. I particularly enjoyed the first section which had a lot of medical information. It was fascinating to read the way they thought of medicine in the 1600s. And if you think politicians are corrupt now...well, they have always been so! Fascinating book!
