I'm an American who's been living in Germany since 1986, but I haven't forgotten my English -- far from it! I read everything I can get my hands on, in both languages, and do a bit of writing myself. I dream of writing an original book one day, but at the moment, I write... more »

i will surely look for Dickinson's book as we will be discussing science fiction in our book club this june. the main book would be Ursula Le Guin's "Left Hand of Darkness". Have you read it? I haven't read any of Le Guin's books nor am i that interested with Science Fiction. However, my goal is to read from different genres this year and explore great reads from them that I didn't think i'd be interested in had i not taken on the challenge. So WE would be a great addition to our discussion. I just hope I'm able to find a copy here in my country soon.

Btw, what book swapping site are you on? I'm on bookmooch.

omg melanie! the hunger games was so good! i loved it! my book club had a pre-discussion activity of paintball and my imagination was running wild...like katniss when she was first thrown into the arena. lol. imagination really running wild there. anyway, it was really great book. i was surprised that i actually liked it since it's been a while since i read a young adult book. the last i've read was twilight...and i didn't like it very much. (i don't know...maybe that's just me). anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts about the book!

hmmmm...intriguing. i've seen the book's blurb and i have to say i do wonder of the same things. i welcome opportunities to take me out of my comfort zone especially in reading since there's nothing i could lose but have more to gain. i believe The Hunger Games is the first book in a trilogy. Have you read the others as well?

Hi there! Nice to see you here. Im Marguerite over at C19. :) I saw Hunger Games on your list. What did you think of it? We're going to discuss that next month at our book club. I'm actually stepping out of my comfort zone by reading that and was wondering if you'd think it'll be worth the effort. :)
