Thanks for the note. Yes, I am doing fine now though still on the blood thinnners. Am glad to hear of a good book you recommend. I like historical or historical fiction. I get a lot of the books I read from Jane - she reads more than I do. I am looking forward to FL right after Christmas! We got a dusting of snow yesterday and it is aready too much too soon for me. Have a good Thanksgiving! Cris
OMG Kirki, I have become a FB addict! So you read the Norwegian Embassy Newsletters!!!! in Norwegian? Snakke du Norsk? Did you put those books on your plan to read, cuz I'd be interested to see what they are. "Out Stealing Horses" was the Winner of 2007 Internt'l IMPAC Dublin Literary Award - and is heartbreakingly beautiful. Norwegian. I'm just getting started here, but if you had just one recommendation, what would it be? I am reading (or re-reading) all Torin's 10th grade literature assignments too. They are reading "Grapes of Wrath" How ironic!
The JD Robb's are entertaining but they are not literary genius. They are like popcorn, though, you read one you just keep going if you like series.... pretty light reading!
We have read so many of the same books! We could talk for hours just about that! What is your bookclub doing now? We chose the new hot series by Stephanie Meyer for Halloween. So I just finished Twilight. It was good - geared more for the teenagers but I love staying up on what is hot!
I'm going to set up my shelf, but here is a few of my favorites latelyThe Master Buther's Singing ClubThe Beet Queen both by Louise Erdrich, ND authorAfter AnneBecoming Olivia both by Roxanne Henke - local authorMy Sister's Keeper
Hey Kirsten, Thank you for adding me as a friend. I'm just entering my book list. We're in the midst of a move! More details later. Fondly, Roberta
I finally did it, Kirsten, but haven't completed a book list yet. I've been very busy in my yard as will be on the garden tour this week, so gotta get that last weed, you know! Good to hear from you and I'll try to keep this up, but not just yet.Take care,Betty
