Married for 47 years to someone who reads more than I do. Retired RN, political consultant and HS teacher. I have always loved to read and now I have much more time to pursue my favorite pasttime. On average I read about 5 books a week and can't put down a book until I finish it. Even the bad ones! I feel that books allow me to go where I...more »

I haven't tried the recipes, though they all sound good, I was thinking about making copies before I got rid of the book. I'm especially attracted to the 911 Emergency Chocolate cookies in this last one. :) If I cooked like she does, suddenly making scones, etc. I would be huge! Actually, I do cook when I'm upset at times, I've come up with some of my best creations when I was very angry or, how does one say it? Confused, conflicted? Cooking seems to help smooth the road in my emotional landscape.

I read cookbooks too. :) Be sure to enter yours here, and when you can, put them on the group's shelf, if they are not there. To enter a book on a group shelf, you go to the book's title page (by clicking on the book on your shelf), and under the bar that designates which of your shelves you want the book on, you will see blue letters which say 'group shelves'. Click on that and it will show you the groups you are a member of, then you click the appropriate box.

My favorite cookbooks are about other countries or historical ones. Of course, the ones I use the most are the simplest. You can see mine by clicking on the tag 'cooking' under my shelves.

You might like to look at the two groups I run, Cook's Books and Christian Fiction. An easy way to find them is to go to my profile by clicking on my name, then looking at my groups and clicking on the appropriate picture. You can join by clicking "join" in the upper right corner of the screen. Sorry if this is too detailed, I've just found that people new to this site sometimes need help figuring it all out. :)

Hello Sharon, and welcome. LeeLee is Lee Swetnika and Donna S is Donna Swain if you want to communicate with them. My biggest problem is forgetting to add books to my site and then can't remember the title or author!! Anne
