“Good gripping book... It will kind of confuse you if you do not stay with it. But all of it is a winner..”

Thanks for the friendship request! I'm quickly realizing that I'm not alone in my obsession with buying books. Have you tried www.PaperBackSwap.com? It's fantastic, especially when you're trying to budget your book buying.
Thank you for the friend request! It does look like we have a lot in common. My tbr shelf is growing at a faster rate than my "have read" shelf, especially since I discovered Shelfari and all of the fellow bookworm friends here!
Thanks for the invite. I am also 40 something with two young kids and two dogs. Huge appetite for books too! My stacks grow each week also! Sorry my response has been sooooo slow, but I was on vacation and then had to get up caught up with everything at work. It's been a long week so far! I look forward to chatting with you dear!
Sounds like you have a LOT of work ahead of you with Shelfari data entry! One hint that will be helpful to one who is entering quite a few titles at one time -- add the date read when you enter. This way the books you read in 1975 will not come to the top of your list looking like you just read them! I had to do this after entering about 150 books -- slowly but surely, though, my books are now listed in order read. It just bothered me that Carpetbaggers and books like that (that I may have read eons ago) were at the top of my bookshelf when in the Date Read category. My solution/work around before I discovered the new feature of adding a date, was to just delete them from my shelf!
2500 books? How can you even know that? I can't keep track of the ones on my Shelfari TBR pile and it is not even at 200 yet! I go through them and make a list prior to going to the library each week. Then I pick up whatever I can find off of that list. Others, I order from the library system. I rarely buy fiction because I love free libraries!Surely you don't OWN all the books on your TBR pile??!! Can't wait to see you add them to your Shelfari shelf. You are in big trouble with this site. I just keep adding more and more every day.....
welcome to Shelfari and thanks for the invite to be added to your friend list. Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!
You know we will never ever ever read them all. LOL. It is an addiction, but a safe one... better than cigarettes, alcohol, drugs and cheaper. So it is a good addiction, LOL. Now that you joined here you will find new authors and titles and buy more! Are you familiar with paperbackswap.com? You can swap out your read books to new homes for the cost of $2.23-2.75 and for each book you get a credit for a book to be sent to you. I can't imagine you save all your read ones too??
Hi Debbie,Thank you for the friend invite. Looks like you are just getting started with your shelf. My problem is that my TBR shelf grows faster than my have read shelf! Hope to see you on some of the pots.Pepi
Hi Debbie. Thanks for the invite. What genres are your favorites. I'm a real book-a-holic, as my shelf indicates; and, like you, have a huge TBR and Wish List going all the time! Hope you plan to populate your shelves with your books!Read on!Judith
Hi Debbie,Nice to meet you. Tell me what kinds of books you like to read. Your shelf on here is empty...LOL. I love to read to as you saw. have you rad any of the books I have read? Do you really have over 2500 unread books? I have over 950 presently. I keep getting more and more. I belong to paperback book swap also and I have 21 credits there too. I just joined teh mystery book club again and have 6 more coming. What kind of pets do you have? I have 3 dogs and 2 parrots.
Hi Debbie,Thanks for the invite. I look forward to the "journey through bookland" with you. Blessings
Welcome to shelfari! You should check out the group play book tag. Its a very active and fun group. I have it on my page. I have some great groups that I'm a member of, and I co-administrate vampires, witches, weres and all that which is a great group but only if you like to read those kinds of books! If you do then you should join! We have lots of authors that love to answer questions and we have a lot of giveaways and stuff also. Hope you love shelfari! It actually cuts down on the reading because its so addicting!
Hi DebbieJust wondering if you thought about joining the Moms Who Read Group. It is a fun group so check it out.
Nope, sure haven't. But I can tell you from working here at the library that Ms. Robards seems to be very popular!
No, never heard of it. I'm currently reading "The Pact" by Jodi Picoult. I'm really liking it. I love Jodi's books. They are emotionally intense books that after reading them, makes you ask yourself "What would I have done in that situation?"
Hey Debbie, how are you. If there is one subject I love to talk about, it is books :). I'd be more than happy to talk books with you and recommend books to you.
Thanks for the invite - hope you enjoy the Book Chat group. If you read as much as you say you do, I predict you'll become a "shelfari-holic" fast! I know I did.... LOL!
