    I would recommend to read 'The reader'. It is one of my favorites now. Great book! TTo me it's story about first love, the love you care through the rest of your life, very touching story. Also was happy with the movie, which saved for myself after I finished the book. I think movie had better closure for the main character.

    Hi Rebecca, So sorry that it took me so long to add you as a friend. It's been a long time since I've been on this site. I'm happy to 'meet' you. We appear to have similar tastes in books, which is nice to find. Right now I'm about 1/4 of the way in to 'The Count of Monte Cristo'. You had said that you were reading 'The Man in the Iron Mask', another of Alexandre Dumas's books, so how did you find that?

    I read the Reader a long time ago. I've seen your book lists and we have somewhat the same taste or have read some of the same books. It is a weird read but engrossing at the same time. I don't believe the movie can be as good as the book. But maybe it will . I don't know.I always have to read a book before I see the movie. The woman and that young boy and their affair was hard for me to swallow but I read it.
