Aron R

Hi everyone, thanks for checking out my account. My name is Aron, and I am from Hungary. As you can probably see, I'm a huge fan of history and historical fiction. My favorite authors are Bernard Cornwell, Conn Iggulden, and JRR Tolkien. I love reading about Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages, and the Napoleonic Wars.

Thank you for your kind note. my mother is going for a heart bypass op on tuesday or wednesday so I will not be back on this week. Please join in with the discussions and as you have read it can help the discussions going if I am still away. We are reading Heaney but the story is the same what ever translation you read. I am glad you enjoyed it

Are you enjoying reading The Tain this month. It will be running on into May. The language and being half verse and half prose makes it difficult at times but it will give us some themes to watch out for when we read Beowulf in June.
    Happy Reading

Good Luck with whatever you are doing. Don't worry because by doing it in sections it is easier to catch up with the group and by posting underneath the chapter everyone can keep going back to read and comment on new posts. So do what you can when you can. Thank you for your support as it would be a shame for the group to fail.

    Hi Aron,
I am Ben from the Cornwell group, I have just been made Co-Admin for the group. We are trying to get the group active, and will be doing a group read for March. How about giving a fellow Tar Heal a hand and join us. Thanks, Ben

Yes...I started at the beginning of the year. I am perplexed do I put everything I've read in the last year, 2 years.....10 years....or just my favorites! What do you think? What are you reading now?

    Aron-

Well... I don't know. I was pretty obsessed like everyone else at first, but now, they just don't seem as good. The plot is boring, there's not enough substance. Most people just like it because of Edward Cullen. I've read better books though. That's just my opinion. Ask any one else and they'll tell you the opposite.

    Hi Aron,
Glad you have joined the GreenJacket Inn and the BC group, as you can see many of the members share the groups. The BC group admins are absent. So feel free to jump in on discussions and topics :)
