I didn't get to that one over the summer but the next time it gets checked in I will take it home with me. It doesn't stay on my shelf. I will let you know what I think when I read it.
Thanks Cheryl! Well, I seem to go through phases. For a while I read mostly biographies. But when I started traveling I switched to authors from the countries I visited or wanted to visit. For example, after I read Dona Flor and her Two Husbands by Jorge Amado I planned a trip to Brazil. And after my trip to West Africa I was all about Chinua Achebe. Another way I choose books is by going into Amazon and type the name of a book I read and liked, then look at the other suggestions. I think it's called "customers who read this also liked". And I have to admit that my other method is choosing a book by it's cover. Ha! I also feel behind in reading YA books. I try to hit as many award winners as I can as Chris Wolfe suggested in our class. I'm still making my way through all the Evergeen Award nominees.
