Read the review for Summer Sisters
Sounds good thanks for the review. I will try to read it over Christmas, along with Beauty Queens, Lord of the Flies meets a Miss Teen pageant. Too funny!
Oops. I can't believe I typed that wrong.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
I realize that I type as fast as the words that are coming into my head and I need to proofread my posts before posting them. Sorry for all of the grammatical errors. :-\
Hey ma,I'm reading Passion Marks right now. It's by a gay author Lee Hayes. I read one of his books years ago called A Deeper Blue which is actually the sequel to the book I'm reading now. It's about a man in abusive relationship, physically, verbally, and sexually, and how he comes out of that to find true love. The opening chapter is an attention getter and was a little difficult to read. His writing style is easy to follow without being to simplified. I ordered three of his other books and I'm going to read those after I finish this one.
I have it but it never stays on the shelf. I haven't read any of her stuff but she is very popular at the high school level. From what I know of her stuff it might be a bit edgy for middle school but I guess it depends on what your community is like. I will read it the next time it gets turned in. Look forward to seeing you at the Alexie banquet!
You're note missing anything with Leviathan in my opinion. And Suzanne did not disappoint! I'm curious to read more of her writing now. I'll have to check into her other works.
Tell me what you think about Leviathan after you read it. I'm looking for another book to read now. I've been without one for a week.... going back to old books and reading snippets just to pass the lunch time at work.
Yeah the summer has gone by quickly.
How's your summer reading going?
I plan on reading The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo too.
I'm glad you like it. I didn't want to put a picture of myself on my profile. What books have you downloaded on your kindle?
(commenting on your review of The Secret Hour) I agree the Jessica's power could've been presented in a more dynamic way. I just didn't find it that suspenseful. I was bored a lot of the time while reading it. The idea for the story was a good one. The other books probably get better, but, I didn't care to finish reading the series after reading the first book.
What's up?!
Yes. Mainly because some of my credits will transfer. I hope one that transfers is the cataloging...don't want to repeat that one :) I will let you know how it goes. I hope all is well up north.
Yes. I have to work full time, unless I win the lottery! I thought about national boards too, but that doesn't carry over into the public library realm. I would like to have the option of working in a public library some day and they don't recognize the national boards, just a masters degree in library science.
I updated a couple of my reviews. I need a new book to read! I might just have to order that Sherman Alexi book because the Borders Express in the mall doesn't have it.
Yeah, I didn't put any reviews really. The books that I didn't like that much I wrote that on there. Lol!
I did. The Sherman Alexi book. I looked at your shelf but, I didn't read all of the descriptions. I'll go through it more thoroughly on my day off. :-)
I know. They year flew by! I will be starting the MLIS program in the fall. Why did I do that? I hope your family is doing well. I am a big Sharon Draper fan so I will definitely read that book. Cheers!
