I really liked Alliance in blood! The world and mythology are very cool. I love that together the vamps are wizards are stronger. But most of all, I love the relationship between Alain and Orlando. Soooo beautiful!!!

I hope you don't mind that I used one of your quotes on a thread in the JUST THE VAMPS group. (It's the one about the Dufus awards) And I looked at some of the reviews on your blog and ordered Alliance in Blood. It just arrived! I hope to read it this weekend.

You nailed it! Yes! Sooo many people love Anita--I just don't get it! I haven't read past book 4 because she annoys the h3ll out of me! Here are my favorite quotes from your blog:

"Anita Blake is a self-righteous, supposedly cool, totally unlikeable person." Amen! This is exactly how I would describe her!

"She is a professional zombie raiser and necromancer, she continuously stresses her “affinity” towards the dead, yet going out with a “walking corpse” (i.e. vampire) is totally not her cup of tea." I've always wondered why no one noticed this before!!!!!

Also, I *hate* it when she says "point for him." grrrr . . . Who wants her stupid points?!

Lupa Says: You Need To Read this book!

Kira Barton swears an oath to the dead girls she will find their killer. What she doesn’t know is that in her pursuit, she will be hurled into the distant past. Balion, Prince of Locke Cress, knows the forest nymph with lavender eyes will come to him. Hasn’t he dreamed of her every night?

Keta Diablo has done a wonderful job weaving this tale of mystery, passion and adventure. With characters that are well developed, well rounded individuals the story flows well and you end up rooting for the heroes and booing the bad guys.

Of course you toss in a definitely not typical history for the heroine's parents and it makes for a great story. This book was a real pleasure to read.

Serial killers, time travel, magic, mayhem, passion, some smoking erotica and a great twist pack the pages of this book to the gills without overwhelming the reader.

I have to admit I will be finding and reading everything by Ms Diablo that I can get my hands on. A great read for a long, cold winter night.

I just found these books about Atlantis and the warriors. I read the short story about Bastien and Kat in the anthology "Wild Thing", and enjoyed it so much I went looking for the others in the series. I had them downloaded to my Kindle, but haven't read them yet. I will get to them pretty soon, and then all I have to do is wait for the new one to come out. :-)

I have not read a Kenyon book I did not like except for the last dreamhunter novel featuring the femal dream hunter. It was not a bad book, just not as good as the others. The whole universe she has created is really interesting to me.
The Immortal Warrior was better than I thought it would be. I am really anxious for more of them. The characters were so full of life and acted like people I would have liked if they were real.
