I am in tenth grade. I love to read. I really enjoy series. Harry potter, the rangers apprentice, spiderwick, inheiratence cycle, and the series of unfortunte events ar just some of my favourites.
I watch a lot of movies, when I can. Right now I have so much schoolwork, that I don't get much done.

Yeah, but I still don't get the "ta ta" thing :/ Hey, no worries, Sam. I see in movies and tv shows how north-american ppl thinks only they are americans, you know? It's cultural, and I don't care about that, it's not an important thing actually. Anyway, here in Brazil almost all the musics that makes success there, makes here. I mean, US kinda dictate what the world should do [ok, ok, I'm sounding annoying, I know, and I'm not anti-US or something, not at all! I just have a little problem with this bossy atitude that US government has]. Anyway, there are GREAT bands here, but there also great bands there, in europe, asia, africa, and so on. Besides BR music, I kinda listen more to US and european music because they're in english [my second language - and I can understand spanish, but not speak :/ ]. I love Paramore, Flyleaf, relient K, Switchfoot, Copeland, Dashboard Confessional, The Fray, Snow Patrol, Barlowgirl, Hawk Nelson, Strokes, Death Cab for Cutie, Foo Fighters, Serj Tankian, Jimmy Eat World... uh, I guess I don't have to say ALL the bands that I like, but I think I said enough, right? I still listen to BSB =x Oh, gosh, I've said too much, I better stop now, or you won't read all of this ever. And I guess we won't talk about Inkheart so soon. I'm loving "Marked", but since I'm reading it in english, I have to go the dictionary like every 5min, so I'm still in the middle of it.
    See ya later

No Sam =P I meant in the south of America. I don't know why US people think that they own America (not complaining, just mentioning a fact) I live in Brazil, in a very sunny stated called Bahia. And yes, of course I know Nickelback. They're awesome. I just can't get enough of that song "savin' me". Oh, and if you want, you can watch my short filme on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/is4d0r4 it was a school work, so it's not so good, you know, but I had a great time making it. OMG, now I gtg :D I just got home.. I was in the beach with some friends (I should be studying, actually, but I escaped hahahaha mom is gonna kill me). Talk to you later, Sam

Hahaha, no, I won't have math, or physics, or biology, or chemistry... I'm going to law school. Oh, what is gtg? And I am in America too, just in the south of it :) I'll search in the shouth, you do it in the north and we'll meet each other at the Central, what do you say? =P And about your movie, what is it about? I just lovie movies, I once dreamt about being a filmmaker, and I also did a couple of short movies, but then I gave up. Guess I like writing more than making movies.
After I read New Moon, I'm kinda too sensitive to read sad books, but I guess I'll be over it when I read Inkspell.
Oh, and that's you in the picture? Do you have a monkey? Hey Sam, do you have myspace or something?

Paramore is a really good alternative rock band :) I don't know about the trans-siberian orchestra, but I'm googling it already. Well, if you're Inkheart again, it must be a really great book. I'll restart the reading today. In a month or two I'll be a college girl, and then only God knows if I'll have time to read all of the books that I have now. Thank God I'm done with High School. No more math homeworks XD Good luck with school, Sam.

Hey, Sam. No worries. I'm glad you're helping your mom at church :) I finished the Twilight saga already, and I was about to start Inkheart, but then I found this book - a vampire book (ok, ok, I kinda liked this style) - and I started reading it, and now I'm reading and translating it at the same time. It's The Mark, by PC and Kristin Cast. I'm also studying to my vestibulares (is something like SAT, a little harder though), so I couldn't get to page 40 yet of Inkheart. But I'll read as soon as I can, it really looks like a great book. Talking about cds, I bought the Paramore's Final Riot! today. Do you like paramore?
I hope 2009 is good, so far. GBY,

Oh, great, there's Inkheart in portuguese. I'm gonna ask it as my christmas gift :D I enjoyed the movie "the thief lord", but I never read the book. Oh, and I don't want the twilight ebooks, 'cause i'm sure the other ones will come out here soon. Twilight and New Moon sold like water here, I have no idea what they are waiting for. Perhaps is the movie [comes out 12.19 here]. Anyway, have you read a book called "flora segunda" by Ysabeau S. Wilce? I'm thinking on buying it too.

Oh, I saw that they're making a movie about of this Inkheart. Well, thanks for searching anyway. I like to read the books, you know, the printed ones, but since there are some books that I'd like to read that are not avaliable here, I try the ebooks. Hey, you didn't answer what I asked about Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. And this "Sing of the Qin" is good? I saw in the library last time I went there...

I'm also a girl, 17, christian and I also love younger stuff. And you can ask whatever you want, I don't mind answering at all. So, I have a problem. Here in Brazil there aren't some good books, specially when it comes to fantasy. It's no interesting to the book industry to translate some books that won't sell like Twilight did, you know? Third world countries don't invest too much on literature. Can you give me e-books, like this one "the sight"? Just say where can I find it. Oh, and tell me something, are Eclipse and Breaking Dawn as sad as New Moon? They have happy endings? 'Cause I just love happy endings, and even with a h.e. I got too sad when I finished New Moon. I'm afraid to feel that sad again :| Oh, and feel free to add me as friend. I love to know ppl from other countries, specially when the other person like reading as much as I do.

Hey, I saw your post on the Favorite Fantasy group and I had to check your profile. Your taste for books is just awsome, and that's exactly what I needed: someone to recomend me good books. Would you do that? I am looking all of the books in your shelf now, but there are a lot of good stuff. Anyway, I still want a recomendation. By the way, are you a girl or a guy?

Well there is an interesting story there - There is something called a BISAC - which is usually printed on the back of the book to help book stores know where to put it. Unfortunately the publisher left it off and we have found it in....
General Fiction....Mystery...and Science Fiction. Best thing to do is to go to the information desk they can look it up in the computer and find the exact shelf in the store - I'm making sure that Avempartha has the "FIC009020 FICTION / Fantasy / Epic" tag

Banes and Noble - certainly - we've been doing signings at them throughout Oct and Nov. Whether your particular branch will have them in "stock" is hard to say - Each store seems to make its own selections - but just go in and ask for it and they can place it on order if not in the store and they come in -- in a few days.

My publisher has not yet started a campaign to get them into libraries - but libraries often will stock something if someone with a library card asks them - we are in 3 at the moment - so you could make a request - and that would be a great help.

I'll pass your thoughts over to my husband. We're getting pretty excited. The road for a new author from a small publisher is a tough one but hopefully word of mouth will start spreading.

Let me know what you think if/when you read it. Hearing from people is what really jazzes us up!!

Hey Sam, I saw your post in the fantasy area about series you like. Based on what you said there I'm sure you'd like my husband's series: The Riyria Revlations. Book One: The Crown Conspiracy was just released (Oct 2008). Book Two: Avempartha is due April 2009. The other 4 are completed but the publisher has not scheduled them yet but it looks like every 6 months.

He is getting GREAT REVIEWS!! -- Check out this page: http://www.michaelsullivan-author.com/MichaelSullivan_Reviews.html

I listed every review found - and did not cherry pick or leave off any "bad ones".

Also there are sample chapters of his books here:
