Coucou! I'm Katie. :3 What can I tell you about myself? My favorite time of day is sunset to sunrise. I love rainy days. I love tea, coffee, cute desserts, and breakfast for dinner. Hey!

How are your exams going? I'll be ready with my example paper and the whole application process is going to start at the beggining of january, so I'm getting excited. Where will I live next year? NY, Berkely, Pittsburgh, London, Berlin or Budapest? :)

I had a little too much fun in the last week and 'am dead tired - overworking + hanging out and drinking wine is just too much :D

So I'll just watch a movie and go to sleep early tonight. I hope you're having fun besides studying and going to some university parties. It's definiately good if you don't miss out on them in the few semester. Later you want have time for them anyway.

    Kisses and hugs!

    Hey,

sorry it would have been my turn to write, but I got tangled up in the net of deadlines :)

How is the Uni going? Many new friends? Is there a good campus life? Do you have okay roomies (if any)? How are the classes? Whats your favourite? Read any good book recently? :D

I'm going to apply to NYU, Berkeley and Uni of Pittsburgh, so I did a Toefl (116/120) and a GRE (verbal 550/800, math 620/800) and now I'm working on my application essay. Hopefully I'll stand a chance.

I was in some nice exhibitions and concerts recently (this was one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74ZUCoao8Ks) and read some nice poems, but had time for no longer literary work :( I did my second teaching in high school. Some philosophy lectures on Plato and Aristotle were given and it was fun, I liked it. Plus this year I got elected as leader of the research college where I'm working besides Uni. So there was also a lot to do like organizing events, writing a new code, applying for a few foundings...

Last week I got to a really cool freshman's ball where we had some great conversation and good wine, plus lots of dancing and fooling around which I much prefered the constant stress I recently had.

Hope you're enjoying your first year! Write as soon as you can,

    kisses and hugs!

I love the line you have written about you! "I always have a song stuck in my head, I'm always reading, and I'm always daydreaming." Sounds just like me!

    Hey honey!

Summer is over sadly. But it was really huge fun for me :) Hope the same goes for you ;)

I also managed to get a tan, and do some work out, so I got into good shape at the end of summer :D

We celebrated with my friends: we went out to dance, and had a great party until the sun came up.

Hope you're ready for your first semester to begin ;)) It's gonna be huge fun believe me! :)

I'll move in in two days, in my room at Pécs. And some friends from Austria will come and visit me, so I'll lead a sightseeing tour for them.

    Kisses and hugs to you!

Haha, I totally understand that you're nervous! It was the same with me. But then I just got sucked into the fun: everywhere people, interesting funtime activities, challenging ideas in the classes, lots of freetime and freedom...you'll love it, I'm sure ;)

By us my mom was more sad, when I moved out to UNI. And after next year when I go on to a PhD...who knows, maybe I can see her only 4-5 times a year if I move away from the country...

Yeah, the problem is not that there are three thesis, but that the philosophy one has to be excellent :)

I spent two days at our beachhouse, at lake Balaton (thats the biggest lake in Hungary, it's around 80 kilometers). There was beautiful wheather, lots of people, sunshine. I didn't had to do more than to take some notes from a book and than at the evening went off to the beach, had a few drinks, talked to some unknown but interesting people, met some old friends and had cocktails with them, listened to some good rock music, read my favourite journal from A-Z (Life and Literature). It was just pure enjoyment.

And today we went with my mom to a huge cooking festivity: some of the finest chefs in Hungary prepare big plates of food in medieval style. Looks great, tastes even better :)

Hope you're getting on with that tan, I managed to get a little color :D

    Hey,

thats wonderful news you wrote me :)

So, you're having a great summer...sounds just like that to me! And being freshman: it's the biggest fun ever! You get to party a lot, get to know zounds of new people, meet all kinds of guys and girls, see a lot of awesome new places, do a lot of funny things :) I just loved it!

This summer I mostly spend at home writing my theses - I have to write one for my English major, one for my Philosophy major and one for my pedagogy component, so it is a lot of work.

Here the weather is tricky: through three weeks it was all raining and storms coming and going. But since two weeks it's above 32 Celsius grade (thats around 89 grade in Fahrenheit). So I've been going swimming. We're living pretty near to a nice lake, it's not big - around 6 miles or so. But there are lots of young people, and it's quite deep and clean so it's okej.

My best friends son's name is Barnabas. Theyr family name is Bogó (which means knot in english) and their parents gave all the children names starting with 'B', so everybody is a B.B. in the family. And my friend wanted to carry on with this tradition, thats why the little guy became Barnabas :)

I hope I can relax a bit more this week, go out and play pool, and read in the garden, plus go partyyy!!!, so I'm gonna get a bit more tanned...I hate being so white in the summer :) You must have a nice shade by now!

How are your parents handling that youre going to move away from home?

    Kisses and hugs dear!

Yay :) It is funny you wrote first: I have been thinking about writing you since a week I just never came to it.

I had a real tuff exam period - actually the hardest ever. This also applies to the semester. My last exam was on last monday and since then: my best friend's son was born, another friend finished Uni, another one got elected as president of one of the large colleges so we had to party!

How are you doing? Preparing for your first semester? When is it going to start? What are you gonna do with your summer?

Of course I loved Little Prince, it is one of the best books ever written!! (the language, the simbolism, the characters). It is easy to read, but sometimes I think people do not see the different meanings behind its simplicity (like the baobabs, for example). Some time I tried to read it to my little cousins, without any success, I think they are now more interested in videogames, Pokemon, yugioh, or whatever they watch on tv these days XD...

Definitely nice to meet you too!, encantado de conocerte!
I have picked some interesting readings from your shelf, since you had one of the books I have always wanted to read (Howl´s moving castle, from Diana Wynne Jones), and of course being myself a fan of the Miyazaki films... Also I was looking for books about John Paul II, a figure I have came to admire over the years... I´ll keep an eye on that one :)

    Nos vemos, Chau!

Hehe :) Thanks for the compliments about my teaching capacities! I doubt they would be so good, but time will prove ;)

Since I absolutely can't sing (terrible hearing + terrible voice :) ) I usually just contribute to karaoke partys when at least 10 other people sing too :D

Sorry 'bout your being in the hospital :( What happened to your vision?
Hope you'll give yourself more time to relax and avoid such miseries!

Is Spring Break really so wild as in the movies and such? :) Everybody going to partys all week, hanging out on the beach, or doing nothing...maybe getting drunk...

I would love to attend it once! There is a carneval in London which is kind of like this, but it only lasts for three days I think.

Good luck to your Poland trip! I have a few friends from there and supposedly its both beautiful and there is a lot to do, so you won't be bored :)

Hmm, Paris...Sadly financial crisis hit in so badly on Hungary (plus our own shit politicians) that there is no chance to go to holidays this summer...w'll be happy if my parents can keep afloat. Hard stuff it is with everybody being very poor and lots of people losing their jobs, facturys closing or moving to Asia where work force is even cheaper.

But w'll keep on going as always and smiling too :)

    Ciao bella!

    Hi! :)

Wow, I did not even teaching to be so much fun! I even won an applaus by two of the classes :D

They were really nice and we had some good time, with lots of story telling from my side plus a little debate at the end of the classes, which they also appreciated.

I hope the article I have been working on last week has a chance to get published. I'm not sure though that it is good enough.

At last yesterday evening I could go out with my friends. There was a rock karaoke night in an ok place, midtown, called 'Toxic Club' :)
Was fun: there were some really cool singers, but at some of them you could laugh yourself to death!

Hope you also enjoy your times. Whats going on recently by you?

I like the new profile picture, your eyes our outrageously big and blue ~ veeeery cute :) ;)))

    See you soon!

    Hey!

Sorry for the late reply too :)

I'm getting so much to do lately I hardly ever see my friends. Its actually a bit frustrating, but it also means that some people appriceate what I'm doing and thats why they ask me to go on with research, translation, etc.

I'm also teaching in high school since last week! I have 3 classes, 18-19 yrs old. Great fun, I love it! :) You can be sorry that you're not a student here, haha ;)

Hope to hear from you soon!
