I participated in the WTO protests, the modern-day Boston Tea Party. The delegates were not harassed other than not being allowed to attend their meetings, go to the ballet or even a movie. There was no violence against them personally. Starbucks was appropriately looted and of course the cops were able to practice tear gas delivery. I still say... more »

The incident did not occur in the JFA group, it occurred on the Book of Mormon discussion page. It was Shannon and Ryan who started the discussion and they should have had every right to have a reasonable discussion.
I don't know who put the book on our shelf. I think it was a Mormon but it doesn't really matter because it only happened once and it didn't cause any trouble for us, apart from having to remove it.
Shelfari seems to be poorly run. They tried to call the HQ and the only number they could get was the personal phone number of a Shelfari employee. When they asked for a better number, he said the number they had was just fine and then hung up the phone.
I haven't heard of Delphi but I will search for it when I have the time. I don't think we'll move the group mainly because we've no trouble in the group with unwelcome members and it would be too much of a hassle to move the whole group, members and all.
What does a Wiccan believe exactly? I don't know too much about Wiccans and their beliefs but I would like to find out. :)

This whole situation has been going on waaay to long. We still haven't received another reply from Amanda. She hasn't logged on in nearly a week and there has been a mass of glitches all over Shelfari. They must be updating the site.

Hola! I've never read "Once Upon a Quincearnera", but I'll be eager to. I'm always adding books to my "I'd Like To Read" shelf. I think I have more on that shelf than on "I've Read"!
Maybe you should edit your settings. I'd like to see some info about you on your profile, and maybe a picture. My picture is from a broadway musical. I've never been to Broadway, but I have seen "The Lion King" at the Kenedy Center in District of Columbia. It was astonishing! :)
How old are you? Where are you from? I'm not a stalker; I'm just curious. I have doubts about my friend MayRose, though... now, SHE might be...

When did you read Sheila Levine is Dead and Living in New York ? I read it way back in the 70's and I just about died laughing at that book...my mother would come in and ask me if I was NUTS because I was all alone and laughing outloud. I can't remember a whole lot of it now but I do remember I loved it and it cracked me up at the time.
