I am a child of the Universe. I raised my children in the beautiful NorthEast before literally being Maggienapped and taken to Chicagoland a few years back.
I adore all of my children and grandchildren, they are my reason for being.
Reading is my passion. Writing is in every breath I take.

The Places I've Been, The Things I Have Done
I've been to London, Abu Dhabi.
Berlin and France,
been held hostage by an insane Sultan,
forced to do a harem dance.
I've flown around the world,
won a balloon race,
been aboard Mir several times,
watched shooting stars while I was in outer space.
I've been to every Olympics,
for the last 40 years,
been in many African mines,
hunting the perfect diamond for De Beers.
I've dined with Kings and Queens,
shaken hands with 23 Presidents.
I was there when the Americans
invaded Saddam's underground residence.
I've conquered Mt. Everest,
vacationed in Aruba, Singapore, and Katmandu,
gone diving several times with Jacques Cousteau,
and retraced the route, Amelia Earhart flew.
I've sipped tropical drinks with Buffett and Hemingway,
concoctions dry and fruity,
dodged bullets in Somalia, Bhutan,
Los Angeles and Djibouti.
I've made love on the beaches
of Nassau, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, Cancun and Maui
gone undercover in the bordellos of New Orleans,
had a run-in with an S&M 'Master', he wanted to make me yell 'OWWIE!'
I've met my 'Prince Charming'
more than once...
let me tell ya...most 'Princes'
turned out to be a dunce!
I've sang on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry,
and performed in dozens of hits on Broadway,
slept in the homes of the rich n famous,
and partied with Janis Joplin in her heyday.
I've flown with the Air Force,
set sail with the Navy,
who do you think taught Chef Emril
how to make perfect Cajun gravy?!?!
I've been a cowgirl, roaming the range,
settled more than one world-wide dispute,
been Miss America, a Medicine woman,
a Madam, in a house of ill-repute.
I've been an almost-Princess,
a lawyer, a hero, a nurse,
a Scientist, a Prime Minister
a bag-lady living out of her purse.
I taught Gale Sayers, Brian Piccolo, Cal Ripkin, Jim Boutin
and Kareem how to play ball,
and well, yeah it was me,
who knocked down the Berlin Wall.
I've fed the hungry with Mother Theresa,
been imprisoned with Nelson Mandela,
marched with Martin Luther King,
meditated with Ghandi, that was a trip, let me tell ya!
I've re-built houses after a hurricane,
repaired dams, driven a fire truck,
attended the funerals of Kennedy and Elvis
and the wedding of Lady Diana and Prince Chuck.
I took the first step
on the moon,
and I'll be headed off
on another adventure soon.
Oh, the places I've been,
the things I have done.
I joined the circus once,
and for a while I was a Nun.
I see you shaking your head,
and giving me that 'look'!
You can go anywhere and be anything you want to be
when you read a book!
