Books are my escape

Books are my escape

Life gives answers in 3 ways.

It says "YES" and gives you what you want.

It says "NO" and gives you something better.

And it says "WAIT" and gives you the best in its own time.

    hi, Becca.
    Namaste how r u??
even i felt a little bad upon reading wodehouse's works so late in my long reading career. hehehe. Even worse i didnt knew abt him probably a month back. but when i knew i wasted no time & got hold of his short stories. and my goodness couldnt help halting my laughter.
i have few e-books. would you like to have a look i would send you. ( wodehouse & other e--books)

Have there been any book that just leaped out at me??
yes, there are quiet a few. the one rem preety surely isby " Gary Kasporov" " HOW LIFE IMMITATES CHESS" in hindi we say " solid hai" means great. infact this is one of those books which i read almost non-stop. Becca, if poss i would recommend you to read this piece. SOLID HAI. HEHEHE.

    hey Becca, NAMASTE!!!!

I saw you adding the black swan & i was very happy. Its a book which would provoke us to THINK. With so much media & things written about it clouds & moulds our thinking to the extent of tampering it. This book actually reveals how to prevent the information from being perceived as knowledge. But its one of my favourites.

I saw THE LIFE OF Pi on lot of members shelf. seems to be a popular one. I m not sure if i wld get a hard copy of it but i own the kite runner. A friend of mine recommended me. It may take some days to actually read this book as i m currently occupied with PG Wodehouse's "MY Man Jeeves" . Do you read & like humour.Amazing . wodehouse is a great humorist. I m confused who is better Mark Twain or PG wodehouse. u have any idea.??

    Hi Becca,

I am kaustubh. i live in india. i m a sales professional & an avid book reader. I m really happy to have conversations with you. Despite you mentioning i could sense i ve found someone like me for whom books are very important part of living. Peculiarly i only love to read the non-fictions but i m planning to read The Kite Runner from hosseaini.

While reading BLACK SWAN EVEN I FELT THE same that there was so much to think & ponder that haste of completion would in some sense ruin the learnings. The reason i asked you several things abt a book selection was bcoz i wanna undestand out of piles of gr8 books how does one chose?? your ans has provided me good reasons to think that i m right.

Black Swan is by NNT (nassim taleb) who is lebanese settled in the US. I beleive it being a best seller shouldnt be much of difficulty in finding a hard copy.In india we get all the copies at local street vendors at a throw away price. Also if you sound BOOK JUNKY then have me for the company & beleive me we arent alone.lol.

    Hey, in
Thanks for accepting the friendship & i believe we would march a long way ahead in exploring the beautiful books. A very happy new year to you. I would like to know you name & location.( if its convenient )

Three Cups of tea is a magnificent piece of work not only for the sake of literature but for Goal achievement & love towards fellow human beings. The amount of hardships Greg Mortenson has gone through that really makes me read this book . I m still reading it & would definitely post my review once i finish it.

Other is i m a big fan of Nassim Nicholas Taleb or simply NNT. If you can get hold of " The Black Swan" should be fantastic.
