Hey! How are ya? It's been so long since I heard from you last. Hope all is well with you.
I'm staying pretty busy right now. A lot of things to take care of, and this doesn't even include any school stuff!
How about you? Are you out of school for the summer yet?
    I bet it's pretty exciting. :) I remember those days. ;)

Hope you're having a good day. Talk to you later.!

That's good to hear! Yeah, I understand. I don't miss those days.
You will do well. Just do your best!
Yeah, for the moment, it feels good to have it back on! I don't know for how long but for now I will enjoy it!
Haven't really been up to much lately. Doing a lot of reading mostly and I'm self teaching myself some Spanish. I took a few classes a few years ago and then I just sort of stopped. Now I want to take it back up again. Amazing how much I remember after all this time. :)
Good luck with you transfer. Sounds like you have a lot to take care of. Hope it all works out for you. :)

Okay, nice to 'meet' you Laken! I call myself "BookStore" on here for several different reasons, one being that I only want friends to know my real name. I'll send you a private message telling you mine. :)

    Talk to you soon,

Kim Harrison is the greatest, fast action and adventure, a sense of humor, Jenks her pixie partner and his family are great, fiesty fighters all of them. , Rachel Morgan is a witch in an alternatve earth setting. She is also a bounty hunter after the supernaturals who break the rules. Her biggest problem, besides a sassy mouth, is skirting the edge of black magic, always with good intentions. I also like Linnea Sinclair for space action with KA women, and a little light romance. Galooking Ghost and Finders Keepers come to mind without looking. Sorry I didn't answer sooner, my daughter gave me The Virus lol.

No problem about taking your time To answer any notes, life comes first.

I think you would like kim harrison books they are drama with some lightness and fun added. Rachel Morgan is a witch and private bounty hunter of the supernatural gone bad. She gets in and out of all kinds of sticky situations, but has a problem with pushing the edge of forbidden black magic.

I am getting hobbs Bargain after hearing what you had to say, and need to reread the Clare I have, I might have 2 of hers, have to check, I must have liked her. Bad memory or I haven't had the chance to read. Thanks

Hey Mello! Long time, no see!
I have to be brief here as I'm almost out of time but let me say that
it's good to hear from you. :)
Wow... I can't believe midterms are already here. I'm not in school of course so I had no idea they were happening now but wow; time moves fast, lol.
I know you'll do well on them. Just do your best and give yourself plenty of time
study. You will do fine. :)
Glad to hear that you're enjoying piano class. I'm still hoping that one day I'll be able to learn to play. Well, good luck with your piece and have fun!
I'm okay. Still frustrated because I don't have Internet at home but I do the best that I can. Overrun with bills right now so things are a little crazy with the money but I'm managing. Thanks for asking!

    Gotta go! Talk soon!

I have Frost's book on pre-order at Amazon. It should be soon if I remember. I have a few ideas in mind for suggestions and I will look on my wooden shelves to make sure. Frost and Hamilton I re-read often. When I get the new one I often read the first ones to get the flow again. There are not as many authors I read again nearly every year. P. Briggs urban romance, kim Harrison urban (she is a witch); Jacqueline Carey Phedre books; and Jennifer Roberson sword dancer series. Most books I keep I do read again but not as often.
Which ones do you or can you read again?

Awesome, thanks for inviting me as a friend. Your bio sounded great and we have books and other things in common. I am new and still building my shelf. The books with hearts are keepers that I reread frequently because I love the writing and the subject. Are you interested in hard scifi (space travel, often a lot of scientific spec), fantasy, or scifi romance? Or urban fantasy like Hamilton. Monings Fever series is fantastic, firt books I got my daughter to read and she is addicted hehe.
Lt. Leary series is marvelous adventure and has a great female co-lead and very diverse characters.
John Ringo has some good stuff, his ghost series is military and today, but unique and wild, fun.
my favorite books are combined in Biting the Sun by Tanith Lee. Whimsical and too fast. She also writes some gothic/horror types. Her writing is unique.
honor Harrington by Weber, strong woman another military space command (I like kick-ass women so many of my scifi are military related)
I will be thinking of you as I add books and fire some more your way.
if any of these look good let me know, gives me a direction to go in.
Urban fantasy. Patricia Briggs Kim Harrison, Jeaniene Frost
    thanks again, vicki m

Hey, how's it going? Hope you're having a good day. :)

You know, I just started playing around with my kindle and it seems alright. It sucks that I can't download all my favorite manga but it is possible to put manga on there. At first I didn't think I could.
I just have a few free downloads and one book I paid $7 for. Guess that'll be the next book I read, lol.

That is so cool! It's always nice to have a class that you enjoy and can really excel in. Keep up the good work! :)

Oh yeah, the library is a nice place to work. It's the only job I've had since I first started back in 06. Started off as a student assistant and now I'm an adult shelver which is basically the same thing except I get a little more money and health benefits now.
Oh I hear ya there. No grocery stores, gas stations and especially fast food places for me. I couldn't deal with the stress of some of those jobs. Where do you currently work?

Oooh, you're talking my language! I almost always have a book with me (usually a manga) and I have a good range of genres that I like (just take a look at my shelf here. :) So I understand perfectly.

Yeah I know what you mean; same here. I'm not even in class right now but I still find it hard to make time to read because I work full time and then I have chores and tasks to do at home; I think I need a vacation, lol!

Alright, talk later. Let me know how your piano class is coming along. See ya,

    Hey! Yeah, what's that saying?
"Great Minds Think Alike"? Pretty awesome. :)

Yeah I feel bad too because my mom got me the Kindle for Christmas and I haven't really used it yet! Maybe I'll put some manga on it. I love manga and it would be convienient to have a few of my favorites right there so I don't have to risk tearing my books up. :)

Awww, that would be so cool! I'm a classical music listener so I think it would be awesome if I could play piano or cello. Love the violin too! Guess it's not too late for me to take lessons; if I had the money or time, lol.

Oh, so it's kind of like social studies in a way. At least that's what they called it back when I was still in middle school. We covered a lot of history like what you described there.

Yeah it does. :( And I was really excited about the class I was taking; art history in medieval art. Last semester I took Renaissance Art which was really interesting.
Well, maybe in the summer. In the meantime, I'll save up some money.

I work at the library. :) I love the job! I'm a book shelver so I get to see all kinds of books. In fact, nearly half the books you see on my shelf are there because of this. :) I'm an avid reader.
    Thanks! Good luck to you!

    See ya later,

Yeah, it sure was! And here again I saw your message come up just a few minutes ago; :)
Yeah, I think I'd like to have the actual book. It almost feels like a waste because I spend so much money on books. But I'll give it a try and see how much I like it.

That's good. They all sound like great classes, esp. the piano one. I'd like to learn how to play piano. Either that or the cello. Love both of those!!
Western Civ.... is that like History and Humanities? I took a class like that a few years ago. It was pretty interesting, esp. during our discussion sessions. :)
Good luck with all of that. I'm sure you'll do well.

I'm doing good. I may have to sit out this semester as I don't have the money to pay for my next class so I'm just working right now and saving up money.
Well it's about 15 till midnight so I better get to bed. Like I said earier, I'm sleep deprived... :)

    Talk soon,

Hey, I was just thinking of writing you as I saw you signed in. Good timing!
Both were good. I'm back at work now so all the little breaks and days off are over. How were your holidays?
Yeah, I know what you mean about school. School starts for me next week. Not sure I'm ready to go back! Lol
I'm good. Just trying to get back into routine. How are you?

    Hey Mello, Merry Christmas!
That's okay. I understand computer troubles. Happens all the time.
Yeah, it is a very busy time of the year and a difficult one too when it comes to money, lol. I kind of did that too. I'm glad all my stuff came in the mail on time.
I'm an online shopper because it's more convienient and I can avoid the crowds. :) I'm not much of a people person. Plus I don't get out much other than going to school and work. But it works. :)
Ah fun. I remember those days. My brother and I would stay up late and play Nintendo till like 1:00 in the morning sometimes. :) Can't do that now with my schedule but thinking about it makes me smile. Cool, she has an Xbox. My brother wants one. Guess he's not satisfied with just having a Wii, lol.

I'm okay. A little tired really. I have a few days off from work so it's cool. I am getting a little more rest, which is good.
Nope, not up to anything at the moment but planning for school in the coming month. :)
I hear you about the homework break! No papers, no exams, no projects..... let's face it; we both needed this break!

You have a great Christmas as well and take care.

Hey Mello; how's it's going? I hope all is well with you.
    Miss hearing from you!
I can't believe that Christmas is this week. Did you get all your Christmas shopping done? Can't remember if I asked you this before; totally sleep deprived. :(
I finished mine; done all online, Amazon to be precise. I hope all my stuff comes on time so that I can wrap them. :)

Hope you are well. Are you on Christmas break yet?
