I am a huge mystery fan. One of my most favorite authors at the moment is Jo Nesbø...followed by Ian Rankin. I love many 1920s-1940s mystery authors such as Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers, Ngaio Marsh and Margery Allingham. Now I am following the Louise Penny series, as well as books by Henning Mankell, Charles Todd and Lee Child.

    Hello I see that u have read the Henning Mankell books and Jo Nesbo. I am looking for a good murder mystery with some gruesome stuff in it. which of the 2 authors is better for wht I am looking for???

    Thanks Susan. I just ordered a paperback version from amazon uk so it will not come until novemeber. Do u like it so far. I was in bookstore last nite and the seller swore by this book and the Strain. Thanks also for the info on Black House... I ordered that one as well.

    Thanks again, I do have Henning Mankell on my list I have Sidetracked, Firewall, One step Behind, and the Fifth Woman. Have u reazd any of those. I also noticed that u said to try Michael Connelly.... Does he need to be read in order??? I have the POet and that series and a couple of the Harry Bosch books. Which should I start with. I definately want to read Rankin.

    Thanks again for the info. Was this the best Rebus one??? I also see that u have The Falls. I have that one as well on my tbr list.... Is Set in Darkness good??? Also I see that u read Elizabeth is she a good author??? Can she get gorey at all. I don't mind if she is.....
