agree- I have found myself rewinding a few times.....no bumper action though!!!!
The narrator is okay- It is an interesting book...only on the 4th disc but very interesting- plus it makes the drive to work bearable!!!

Hey Nance: I couldn't get through the first chapter of The Help..... !!! I really don't like books that have heavy slang or their own language like Harry Potter!!
Ok...here are my words of wisdom when it comes to Shantaram....just commit to 50 pages and then decide. I liked it pretty quickly so if you don't get into it by then, just put it down.

I actually didn't care for the Potato Peel book (I keep calling it the wrong thing). Most people loved it though. Running with Scissors was good but strange. I liked it but didn't love it.

I agree! Did like the "Dissident Daugher", though.
She also wrote "The Mermaid Chair". It was o.k.
The "Dissident Daughter" was very good if you are interested in the "feminine spiritual". It was non-fiction and she does supply info about researching a continuation of the same path she is on.
Marcia Brady's story was interesting and quick to read.
