The extreme political views in this book were more than mildly irritating. Sophie Katz is a dimwitted, bigoted, judgmental, egotistical woman who stumbles around in things she has no right being involved in for the most part simply to prove her superiority over her ex-non-boyfriend, and make a feminist statement. Her redeeming qualities are that she does truly show compassion and admits her own faults even as she lets them control her. The book would have rated another star if it weren't for the ridiculous bashing of conservative views which were presented infinitely beyond the right.
In spite of all of the bashing of half of the USA the plot was interesting enough and had some very funny moments. Sophie is a Stephanie Plum, but she just won't admit it.

The main character in this book is the epitome of irritating woman to me. I wanted to strangle her and her stupid liberal extremist boyfriend. I don't like extremists of any sort. They are closed minded and self serving. I totally understand how she became who she is however and found that I could forgive her for being extreme and rigid in her views after meeting her egocentric bitch of a mother. Her sister is not much better. How anyone could survive a family such as hers is beyond me. So in the end Ella gets big kudos from me for becoming the mother she never wanted to be.
Did anyone else notice that Luke was 15 months old and only had one tooth and just learned to say mama? He must have been really traumatized in those first few months to keep him from cutting teeth!

I have a hard time believing there are any teens capable of this type of maturity yet being such a child. Dealing with the things this girl does is beyond the scope of any teen I have ever met. I don't understand why this type of book that is meant to be for young adults can't at least have the teens at the age of consent. Understandably the teens all think the age of consent tody is 12 so maybe I'm just old fashioned. It was a good read and I'll read more. There were some totally unbelievable parts in it however and was predictable. However I think there maybe a couple more twists in the story yet to come and I'll be anxious to find out if I'm right.

A MUST read. Even if you don't normally read this type of book you really don't want to miss this first book in the trilogy. It's listed as a young adult, but you might want to read it before allowing your kids to do so. This writer was compelling and the story is a page turner. You will be on edge the entire way thru the journey.

As usual JR Ward wrote a thorough and compelling book for another Brother. Zsadist is a twin with a very tortured past. You can't help but feel deep emotion for him and his love interest Bella. Ward's imagination is incredible and her writing voice is amazing. Read these books from the first in the series for the best entertainment and flow.

This is my first Pamela Clare book. It was recommended by a number of friends. The genre is not one that I read often, but I was well pleased. The storyline is typical but well written. I will definitely be reading more of PC's work.

Wow, as usual this was a very busy book. I need to read it again so I can remember all that happened. Charlaine Harris never fails to entertain me and keep me on the edge of my seat.

This was more of a romance than a ghost story. I guess I was expecting much more action on the part of the ghost and not as much sex. If you're looking for a fluff piece this might appeal to you. I need a lot more plot than this.
