Perpetually tired. Madly in love with the rain. And books.

My preferences range from graphic novels (Exit Wounds, Palestine) to non-fiction (What is the What, First They Killed My Father). I enjoy reading literary mysteries (Special Topics in Calamity Physics, Secret History, Shakespeare Secret, Shadow in the Wind) too, and so much... more »

I had thought about the ISBN after I had finished with organizing here in shelfari. :|

I realized that most of that book I had picked are not the same ones I have. :P

So, I'll use the ISBN in librarything. :) Thanks for the advice, Ma'am! ^_^

Yes, Ma'am, I shall enjoy! haha. I guess you're having fun, too! ^_^

I sent a friend request to you, Ma'am, on librarything.

I have many books that are not here in shelfari (most are Philippine publications). So I guess, I'll create them in order to complete my catalog. I'll complete my shelf here, then finish reading some books and read Sir Galan's Drama reader, then I'll put all my books on librarything. ^_^

It IS great to catalog our books! Haha. As I list them down, certain memories (most of them are funny) came to my mind, so cataloging is fun, too! ^_^

Your package has arrived at the Marikina P.O., care of my wife and me. Unfortunately, we have not been able to claim it because the customs inspector set a fee on it along with two other packages sent to us. It all amounts to 2,542. We aren't sure why, but think the number of pieces has something to do with it. There's a total of 34 items. There were around 12-14 books sent to us (not sure if she counted the 3-volume set of Bone as one or 3 (probably 3) but there seem to be about 20 recipe magazines sent to you. The inspector seemed very interested in these--baka she wants to copy all the recipes from them first! Anyway, she counted and looked at the cover of every single one.

We have 30 days to pay the 2542. What do you think? Do you want to divide the cost of 2452? Can you think of any way to contest the fees? Here's the breakdown:

    Postage: 210.90
    Value: 29.85
    Dutiable Value 240.75
    ER: 46.3960
    TH: 4901.9990
    ROD: 5%
    Landed Cost: 12,243.35

    Customs Dute: 558
    E-VAT: 1469
    Import Processing Fee: 250
    Customs Docu Stamp: 250
    BIR Tax: 15
    Total: 2,542

Let us know if you see any problem or loophole.

Hey, finished The Shadow of the Wind! Really liked it! :D
