“I read (or was forced to read) this back in 8th grade. At the time, I really hated it. I never like being told to read something when I'd much rather read on my own, but I'm glad I did. It might start out pretty slow and that seems somewhat insignificant in the beginning, but you get so caught up in the story you feel like a disembodied spirit living through the hardships with Miss Ten Boom. It's her novel that got my interest in Holocaust fiction/autobiographies.
I really do recommend this book to people. (Just, 8th grade might be a little young for kids to grasp the full meaning of the content.)”
