I feel as you do, as you wrote about the books by James Patterson. One series though you might consider, having enjoyed the "Max" is his "Women's Murder Club". These are about 4 women, women in professions including an ADA, an ME, a Psychologist, and a reporter. They are friends; they solve crimes together. Women's Murder Club1. 1st to Die (2001)2. 2nd Chance (2002) (with Andrew Gross)3. 3rd Degree (2004) (with Andrew Gross)4. 4th of July (2005) (with Maxine Paetro)5. The 5th Horseman (2006) (with Maxine Paetro)6. The 6th Target (2007) (with Maxine Paetro)7. 7th Heaven (2008) (with Maxine Paetro)8. 8th Confession (2009) (with Maxine Paetro)Maximum Ride1. The Angel Experiment (2005)2. School's Out-- Forever (2006)3. Saving the World: And Other Extreme Sports (2007)4. The Final Warning (2008)5. I agree about Twilight 100%. I am wondering if you would make a recommendation for a heroine driven character fantasy (from the books on your shelf). I saw that we share some books in common that are my favorite fantasy trilogies-- (female protagonist), The Abhorsen series as well as The Golden Compass trilogy, and The Gemma Doyle trilogy.

The group's been around for a while so there are a ton of threads. Hop on over to our introduction post and tell the group hi and talk about your favorite horror authors. Feel free to start your own discussion posts and browse our growing group shelf.Any questions at all just ask, same for suggestions or ideas. If you would like to be added to the list of people that receives group update notes, please add Diamondgirl as a friend and leave her a note letting her know that you want Chiller updates.

Lol - I found you by the group about non-Twilight Fantasy --- Perfect!!If you are intersted in finding something new and fresh I wonder if you would look at my husband's book. Here is a recent review..."I recommend this book for any fan of fantasy. It's an extremely fun read with a fast-moving plot and interesting & likable characters. It's NOT the usual cookie-cutter fantasy but instead offers a fresh perspective.
