“I read this for my history class (East Central Europe under Communist Rule and Beyond, 1945 to the Present). It's a good read if you've got the proper background info about the solidarity movement in Czechoslovakia, the 1956 revolution in Hungary, and Destalinization. As a history major, I enjoyed it; written by a journalist, the perspective is interesting.”
