So then, I take it, you actually met Laurell K.? If so, I am EXTREMELY jealous!!!!! ^^

I love Spring and Fall weather, but right now I'm going for any degree of warmth because winter has been so ridiculous. I hate being cold!

When I said I just got back I meant on Shelfari. There is really no excuse for me not to have been here, other than I tend to neglect things (a nasty habit of mine) such as my poor blog. It hasn't been updated in 2 weeks, I believe. But things have been insanely awful here and I can only hope they die down soon. When things happen, I get in no mood to really do much other than check my emails every day.

Laurell K. Hamilton is one of my favorite authors - but I personally found her Merry Gentry series a let-down. However, Swallowing Darkness is her newest book in that series ... have you read the rest of them?

I've been doing pretty well, and it has been a very long time since I've been on here, as well. I just got back on the other day. I wish WE had some heat. All we get is cold and wind. :D We got snow a week or two ago and now we are expecting more ... !

    Ah, and happy (belated) birthday!!

I am so annoyed with Christ out of Egypt. I'm reading it now, for the heck of it. But what gets to me is that you can TELL it's Anne Rice, writing style and everything ... but it's from Christ's point of view. It's not working.

It's kind of like when a zombie comes knocking at your door. It looks like someone you once knew ... but it's a completely different person.

    Hi Tanya -

I hope you had a wonderfult Thanksgiving.

I'm sorry for not keeping in touch. Days just go by so fast and then you're looking at 2 or 3 weeks have past.

I hope you are well. Have you read anything good lately? I have a book you might enjoy reading. It's a paranoramal by Elizabeth Guest called "Night Life". This novel is great. I'm enjoy it. And I'm just venturing into reading paranormal novel.

I will be keeping it touch and I would like to hear from you soon.

    Take care, Yvette.

Thank you SO much for joining us at the Paranormal Mystery group. Please feel free to join us in any discussion (no matter how old). You may also open up a new discussion. If it is Off Topic, please indicate "OT" in the discussion title. You are also very welcome to add *pertinent* books to the group shelves. This group, after all, was originally opened up so that we can steal great reading ideas from the paranormal mystery sub-genre. A discussion or description of said book(s) would be much appreciated too but not at all mandatory. Nothing really is mandatory on this site (except for people being nice and getting along). Shelfari, after all, is for fun. See you on the boards!

BTW: We have 4 books in common.

Thanks for posting back. Yes, I have read all of Christine Feehan's Dark Hunter series. They are all fab books in their own right. And you and I share the same favorite hunter...Gregori. Are you drawn to the dark, brooding, down on his luck, over protective character type too? I have to admit that dark hero type does get to me. I think the dangerous element of it is a draw too. Poking the tiger but with love and not a stick. You can get hurt or you can get love back. Are you willing to chance it though? For me, heck yes! It's a book anyhow. If I don't like how its going I can always stop reading. ;) But seriously, one of the best dark hero's I've read has to be in Kinley MacGregor's book Sword of Darkness. You should try that one if you like historical/magical romances. Plus Kinley MacGregor is actually Sherrilyn Kenyon's other author name so you might like checking it out.
So have you read Feehan's other series? The Ghostwalkers? The Drake Sisters? If so, which series did you like better?
Take care over there and have an awesome day. ~LV~

Thanks for the add, you have a marvelous shelf, some of these books I've never heard before but I'm definitely going to give them a try!

I adore vampires, I just finished The Tale of the Body Thief last night, one of the greatest books to ever exist.

    Hello Tanya -

Thanks for the note. I'm glad that you agreed with me about Daigess being to nice. I love the novel don't get me wrong. I just believe that if Daigess had done a few things that he'd regreted othr than going through the stones his redemption as giving up his life would have been more dramatic to me.
