Got Tall Dark and Dead today! Thanks so much!!! ;-)
Regina L's review of The Boy in the Striped Pajamas has put it on my TBR pile - don't know if I'll find time for it, though. I am enjoying Mistress of the Ari of Death.
Thank you SO much! If you believe in karma, you've been earning points all over the place!
U and I keep a busy busy life. And here it is ...time almost for the holidays again!I have read some of your 'write-in's over at the sf group I belong to ! Good inserts! Enjoy what you have to share! ty.
I am serious. You are welcome to come visit. Do you guys do any shooting?
Thanks for the ideas WB! I'll check them out. I'm not heavy into paranormal but I like some - combine with detectives and I'm all over it! :-)
Shelfari is slow this morning. Sorry about the duplicate messages!
Nice slate of books for November in the Bibliophile group.
I have such a huge stack of books myself, so no need to send me anything in exchange. I'll be glad to pass them along and even happier not to break up the series. Plus, I'm sure you'd rather read it from the beginning rather than do my trick of reading the third one first. Grunt!
Well that's where my proposition comes in. You see, at the time I submitted my book title I had not yet read the book and only after reading it did I discover that it's actually the third book in a series. HOWEVER...it turns out that by some weird quirk of book fate, I actually also have the first two. So...if you are at all interested and willing to wait a bit (until after the mad rush that is the holiday season), I would be more than happy to bump the first two up on my reading list and send you all three together. let me know what you think.
SKIN HUNGER was an audiobook from RecordedBooks. I have an account with them kind of like NetFlix, so SKIN HUNGER isn't available. However SOULLESS absolutely is available. I will set it aside for you.
Thanks WB those are my 3 grandchildren Tori, Katie and Lexi.
Good Reads will be reading Mistress of the Art of Death by Ariana Franklin in November. You're welcome to join us. I'll try to remember to get to your questions on Bibliophile when I finish the book!
I listened to A dirty Job...LOL "Goggies Daddy?" and I listened to Fluke. Demonkeeping I did in ebook. I heard an excerpt from You Suck but I didn't buy it because I want to get Blood Sucking Fiend first. I don't know if I want to read Lamb... I have heard from friends who know me that I probably won't like it.
Hello there friend! I always look for new books to read on your shelf first. Mine isn't as updated as I would like it to be, but I'm getting there. Hope all is well with you!
Practical Demonkeeping was a hoot! Did you do it in print or audio? I did an e-book version. I can still laugh when he is going into a house and leaving the demon reading a comic...."Don't eat anyone!"
WB, Is there a third ____________ Thief book?
Ah, right - I had intended to print off something else and must have changed my mind. It's the undercroft of Fountains Abbey near Ripon, a Cistercian Abbey that suffered as a result of the Dissolution of the Monasteries under Henry VIII. It's a beautiful place, set in a steep valley with the abbey at the bottom - I'm sure you'd find some images on the web. It's a lovely place.
Yes, I really enjoy the Madelyn Alt books. I like the stories. I love Marcus. To me they're what I think of as "paranormal/cozy". I thought it was funny when she got the little black cat. It totally reminded me of my cat - black, with a little tuft of white, and very clingy and vocal & cuddly, except mine is poofy.I bought Secondhand Spirits by Julie Blackwell - it's in my TBR pile. I swear I need more bookcases. When I'm done with mysteries, I'll usually pass them along to my grandma and after she's done, she puts them in the rec room of her seniors building. So at least that helps free up a little space.I just don't like some women in stories who whine a lot. It's like, "ok, if you're going to do something - just do it already."
Yes, please WB! Thanks so much!
