    Hi Sandy
If you haven't read any of the Rebus books, I would start from the beginning of the series, with "Knots & Crosses", from 1987.
Check out Ian Rankin's site for all the titles

Hi Sandy. If you loved the Jane Austen books, Jane Eyre and Edith Wharton, you will also love The Way We Live Now. I'm confident about that!

Dear Sandy: I am an author from Massachusetts. My debut novel HUNTING THE KING came out in April. If you enjoyed reading DA VINCI CODE, you might get a kick out of HUNTING, too. The novel revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O’Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother die in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother’s death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college. Now an archaeologist, she has been recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to discover whatever or whoever is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As an observant Catholic, she is scared that whatever she finds will have devastating consequences for her faith. There is a wonderful YouTube book trailer well worth watching if you have the chance. If you do get to see, please let me know what you think. Thanks. Peter

    Sandy,
I took a quick peak through your books and I think you will like Rabbit Run. If you like the first one, then you will like the rest. It is a series that takes place over an "average Joe's" lifetime. I really like Updike's writing and I keep meaning to go back to my shelf and "favorite" these books and add some other Updike's I've also really liked. The Rabbit series have Harry Angstrom character but Updike is also excellent at capturing the woman's point of view - as in his book "S". I think his (Updike's) strength lies in understanding human nature. Hope you enjoy.

    Hi Sandy B. Groovy:
hey, if you liked Confederacy of Dunces, you should check out my satiric novel of a hapless realtor in upstate New York called Cracks in the Foundation. Check it out at www.cracksinthefoundation.com. I just pubbed it last week (yay!) and am still setting up paypal on my site, so best to find it on amazon or barnesandnoble.com.
    happy readin!
