Judy, I think your kitty is cute too. Here are some mystery authors you should like. Faye Kellerman, Jonathan Kellerman,Kathy Reiches, Patricia Cornwell, Sue Grafton, Linda Fairstein, Catherine Coulter FBI series, James Patterson's Women Murder club, Tami Hoag.

Counted cross stitch is not to hard. You just have to find the center of the pattern and the center of the fabric. When I start, I put masking tape around the edges of my fabric, then find the center of the pattern and get the floss is need for that symbol, then find the center of the fabric. I put my fabric on a scroll frame and start stitch. There are some great books out there that can help and check out the internet. There are sites that have tutorials that teach you how to do counted cross stich. I started doing it over ten years ago. I never really stitch much but for some embroidery and pick it up pretty quickly.

Hi! What are you reading lately? I'm back at work after Christmas holiday and have a huge pile of TBR books, but can't seem to get into any of them. Feel vaguely guilty about that =:) Is the picture of your pet cat? I have 2 cats.
    I've never read Bet Me.

Judy, I noticed that you frequently ask me about books that are on my wish list and I havent read yet. Almost all of the books that I've read since joining Shelfari have been reviewed. If I havent reviewed it I probably havent read it yet.

Hi Judy - Happy New Year to you too! - Nothing left on my shelf. As I've said, many were read years ago and others were traded. Sorry! You can always try your local library. I have gotten some really good TC there also.

Thanks for the advice! I've been making honey lemon tea and a Korean orange tea called Yujacha (not sure if I spelled that word correctly). Some of the groups you belong to look interesting. Which one's your favorite?
I order many of my books from the library through the interlibrary loan service. We live in a small town with no used bookstore even in the nearest city. We've moved several times, so I try to only buy re-readers or books I really enjoyed. What about you?

After Christmas I will look through my bookcase and see if there is anything you might be interested in. I will let you know what I have. I did read "All She Ever Wanted" many years ago and I don't have the book anymore. I also read "Lethal Intent" a few years back and that was a good one too. Infact that club I belong to, well that was one of the first books someone requested from me! I saw the movie "Boys Don't Cry" and I agree, Hillary Swank did a great job. Many of the books on my "shelf" I have already read and mostly are gone because of that book club. Carolyn

As I said before, alot of my books are already gone. I have been reading TC for over 20 years! But let me know which ones you are interested in and I will see if I still have it. "A Venom in the Blood" was good - I read that one nearly 20 years ago. That one is long gone. I thought "Lethal" was very good and I enjoyed "Monster" I dragged my husband to see it, he had no idea what it was going to be about. LOL...that was fun. Charlize did a great job. I hate to say this because she was a murderer but I kind of felt sorry for Eileen Wuornos. I think she had it tough from a very young age. I was updating my shelf last week, and I couldn't remember the book! then I saw your shelf and there it was! Merry Christmas! Carolyn

Judy, Counted cross stitch is not too hard too learn. You just find the center of the fabric and the center of the pattern and start stitching. I usually sort the floss first, then thread my needle once I know what floss color I must start with. Then start and put it on a scroll frame and stitch. I have been doing it for years.

I recommend Sue Grafton, Patricia Cornwell, Linda Fairstein, Catherine Coulter's FBI series and Kathy Reiches. Those should keep you busy for a while. I have read more of their books. In fact I am reading the new Cornwell. Tom Clancy is good and James Patterson's Woman Murder Club ones are also good.

    Hope this helps.

I love my Callie. She is will be 18 months old of the 24th.

    Love,

    Your friend

I have two great nieces and a great nephew. I am an Air Force veteran. I am also a CNA but have not done that for a while.

How do you read so many books at once? I've read several you are reading....I think you'll enjoy Dewey! It's better than what I thought it wold be. And I really like Mary Higgins Clark!

    Enjoy the Holidays!!!

I'm sure it'd be a lot cheaper for you pick up the book in your local Walmart, or Borders, than to pay shipping on it. :)

And if cost is an issue, you can try your library like I do for all my books. :)
