I am so glad I am a reading teacher because I love to read. I know many of my students don't like reading, so I am always looking for a few books that they can really enjoy. One good book can start students on a path of life-long reading. My favorite books as a child were The Boxcar Children, the Trixie Belden series (a young girl who solved mysteries), and Madeleine L'Engle's series that starts with A Wrinkle in Time. As a teenager I continued reading mysteries, and I still do today. « less
