I love books, but unfortunately I don't have enough spare time to read everything I want. I like reading about many things, especially about life in the 18th and 19th century.
It is wonderful to manage to excape from time to time from today's problems to captivating, adventurous, sensitive and sometimes totally unknown stories.

    Bine, multumesc de intrebare! Da, am terminat seria Amurg, si spre surpriza mea chiar a meritat, faina, si scrisa bine, desi de obicei stii ca succesul asta de public...... ;-)
    In rest, am recitit Jane Eyre (mi l-am luat de la Adevarul) si a fost o incantare de la un capat la altul.
    Cred ca dupa astea ma apuc de Anna Karenina in sfarsit ca de cand tot incerc sa o citesc.
    Tu ce ai mai facut? Ai fost la Gaudeamus? Nu-mi vine sa cred ca a fost Salman Rushdie!

    I highly recommend that you read Orhan Pamuk's "The Black Book." And visit Istanbul, too. I was there in December 2008. I also visited Edirne.

    Thanks for your note. "The Jade Cabinet" is one of my most favorite books. It's a linguistically-rich fantasy novel. If you have very little time for reading, as you mention in your profile, then this book is an excellent choice. It's transporting, even if you can only read a few pages at a time. I hope you enjoy it!
