I would definitely recommend reading Alice Hoffman if you have the chance. I love the family relationships in her novels, and the varying degrees of "magic" (or whatever you like to call it) that seem to show up in them. The River King, Practical Magic, Second Nature, and Drowning Season are a few of my favorites off the top of my head. In general the earlier stuff is the best, though I haven't read all of the more recent novels. Hope this is helpful!
Hi Bekah - You are reading up a storm! Have you read "A Tree Grows In Brooklyn" or "To Kill A Mockingbird"? A Tree may be a little young for you, as it is written about a thirteen year old; perhaps Hannah would like to read it. "To Kill A Mockingbird" is good reading, anytime, for you, however I would not recommend it for Hannah. I do hope to see you, both for a day at Lake Lauderdale(at least a day) and a trip to the Owl Pen Book Store. Love, Grandma Skellie
Hi Bekah - It's Grandma S; I just realized that, like FaceBook, I could leave a message for you. Hannah, Job, your Mom and I went to the Owl Pen Book Store today. I hope you will be able to join us a day this summer, when we go back. Let me know what your schedule is the week after next. Love, Grandma S
