I am the 48 year old grandmother of Liam and divide my time between Rochester, NY and the metro Detroit area (see blog at www.liamsgrandma.typepad.com). The time in each place depends on a variety of factors including hormones, kids, grandchild, husband and what my hair is doing on any given day.

I prefer to write with humor as my backdrop because, otherwise, I might be living in the Crazy Woman's Home for the Hormonally Challenged. It's good to laugh at one's self.

I am an excellent cook when I can actually stand at the stove without a four month old screaming to be walked around or his mother giving me advice on how to prepare a meal, but somehow never wants to actually try it herself.

My husband is a university professor whose idea of a good time is sitting in front of the television set, laptop opened and mouthing an occasional "uh-huh" while I talk to him, about him or at him.

I love writing, gardening and fantasizing about what it'd be like to not have MADD (Mother's Attention Deficit Disorder). « less
