I am glad you got to read while you were home. You should check out The Soloist by Mark Saltzman. It sounds like something you would like. I just started Lopez's Soloist. Miss you already.
I am not familar with the other titles you mentioned.
I haven't gotten beyond page 30 or so. I like it well enough; it just keeps getting set aside for school reading. I have a little break with English 11 for the next few weeks, so as long as I can balance Rev Road with the Dialogues of Plato, I should be able to move forward. It isn't likely I will be finished by the time you get home :(
Hi, Jill. I thought it was probably you when I saw the name pop up. I have certainly heard a bit about you and always welcome new people and whatever books they might bring along with them, so it's nice to "meet" you and I look forward to perusing your shelves for some good reads!
I have heard good things about Lamb's book. I think it is on my shelf as one I plan to read. I liked I KnowThis Much is True, but I thought is was too dense and dark at times. I read it quite some time ago -- on one of those long drive family vacations. I haven't thought about it in a long time. I am not making progress with Look Me in the Eye. There is too much school work! You know, it is really hard to look at your Shelfari photo and take you seriously! :)
