In 4th grade I read 104 books and did a one page book report on every single one! I've been to band camp. I was a theater major at Wooster College in Ohio and received certification in Gestalt Therapy at the Indianapolis Gestalt Institute.
Jack of many trades I spent 10 years in private practice as a life-transitions counselor, have worked as a leader of girls, a trainer of adults, and a volunteer pluralism trainer at the national level for Girl Scouts of the USA and as a Stephen Ministry Leader and Trainer. I have written a series of guides for and led a seasonal ritual group and designed and led a class for adult singles called "Dating 101." By times I have been a human sexuality educator, a childbirth educator and natural childbirth advocate, a member of the steering committee for Indy Pride '96, a watercolorist and mixed media artist, a flutist, a folk-singer, a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter and a friend.
I play Everquest. I travel. I camp. I wish I could have had lunch with Randy Pausch and his family. I collect small boxes and things made of purple glass and single wine glasses that have lost their mates. I believe that expensive jewelry is always the right answer and that the best things I could give my two children as they were growing up were roots and wings.
Currently occupied as a lawyer-wrangler, calendar-goddess and family-organizer, I live in Northeast Ohio with my partners and a cat who yesterday yacked on my favorite reading chair.
I read. I am not ruled by fear. I vote. I am a liberal.
