'History of Reading' is excellent! Happy reading. I was going through it again the other day after reading your post. I was struck (again) by some beautiful passages. That made me wonder who the translator was. The translator's name wasn't given. Maybe he translated it himself. If that is the case he has done more than an excellent job. What talent that man has if he can write so well in both English and Spanish!
Yes, I've heard about it. It is mentioned in Alberto Manguel's 'History Of Reading' (which btw is an excellent book! Have you read it?). Yesterday after seeing the book in your shelf, I downloaded it. But sadly it does not have Italo Calvino's introduction. Does your version have Clavino's introduction? Yes, the illustrations are beautiful. I just 'flipped' through it yesterday. Looking forward to 'reading' it from cover to cover later. It is listed in amazon @ $550! Ha!
Thank you for your friendship request. I took one look at your shelf and decided to accept your friendship request with alacrity! You have 'Codex Serafinianus' on your shelf! Wow! Have you read it? Looking forward to a fruitful friendship ....
No, got Pygmy out of the library. To be honest, it's probably my least favorite Palahniuk novel.
We have a lot of books in common. BTW, "Invisible Monsters" is my favorite Palahniuk novel!
