hey i know this is EXTREMELY late but as you can tell i haven't been on in a very long time. i loved brida! i don't read his books back to back because i like to savor them for something to look forward to. i don't want to have them all blend together so that each book takes me on a journey and teaches me a lesson. so far my favorite have been brida and of course the alchemist. i buy the alchemist and give it to friends as presents i love it so much and whether they are readers or not, they all have loved it! i am going to be an active member from now on, if you are too, lets keep in touch!

Congratulations! I'm so happy for and proud of you! I've been in remission for almost 13 years. If you don't mind my asking, what kind of cancer did you have? I hope you'll have children if you want them. I do, and I'm hoping and praying it'll eventually happen.

I read one of your posts and wanted to ask if you would like to be friends with me. We have something in common: we're both cancer survivors. I had ovarian cancer back in 1998, when I was 15. How long have you been in remission? Can you have children? I hope I can. I also hope you stay in remission forever.

    AIDS WALK NYC..MAY 15th
    Hello Everyone,
It has been a while since I have posted a discussion.
But Here it is...Last Year My 19 year old cousin died of AIDS. It was truly devastating seeing as she had just begun to live her life.
I have now joined the Aids Walk Foundation in bringing awareness to this tragic disease and bringing it to light that no matter what your age or sexual preference AIDS can affect you.
This year AIDS FOUNDATION is having their annual walk in Central Park in NYC and I wanted to ask you all to please Join my Group Soldiers of Love - 0262 to not only walk but also raise money for such and important cause.
    Did you know …
    • Every 9 ½ minutes, someone in the U.S. is infected with HIV?
    • Half of those infected with HIV are under the age of 24?
    • 25% of those infected with HIV do not know it?
    • New York cases account for approximately 18% of all HIV cases in the U.S.
If you are interested in either registering to walk or simply make a donation please go to for details.

Thank you all for the support.

Hey! I saw your question so wanted to respond. I thought the Lovely Bones was good, and it was pretty unique in its perspective. I thought the ending was a little stretched but overall a good read and I always recommend reading a book before seeing the movie. Hope that helps! :)

I know, you hear more and more about teenagers getting pregnant these days. What's so wrong with waiting until you're ready? No offense to you.
You know what's weird, My mom has a friend with two kids in their early twenties (like really early, they're only 20 and 22 or something). And they're both engaged to be married all of the sudden. One of them is waiting for another two years, but the one that is only 20 is getting married in June! I'm pretty sure that they know what they are doing, but I don't see why they are rushing it.
So I can see where you are coming from. Getting married so early is really strange.
    Talk to you later!

I see your point. It's funny, though, that a vampire book could have that kind of influence, don't you think?
