I'm married to published author Michael J. Sullivan - first book "The Crown Conspiracy" (Oct 2008), second book "Avempartha" (April 2009). A sample review is here:

"This is by far one of the most well written independent novels I have had the pleasure of reading. I highly recommend it to both lovers of fantasy, and also those who like... more »

Hey, finally got to start reading The Crown Conspiracy! I've loved what I've read. Thank you thank you for sending it to me. I've been having trouble actually getting any serious reading done lately, but this looks like a great motivation to change that.

Hi Robin! Hope things are going well for you. Amazon just emailed me that Avempartha is out, so I'll be getting that soon. I've been looking forward to seeing where things go next, so I'll be sure to let you know what I think.

Hi Robin, still no sign from the Library about your husband's book I ordered. Some things happen exceeding slow. Hope you are well and that it and ther second book in the series is going well,

Oh, and I have to add, Daniel Travante was probably one of the nicest guys ever. I asked him a favor one day--to call a friend's mother to wish her a merry Christmas (she was dying of sclaraderma)... and she was a BIG fan of the show. He said, let's do it right now. We went to his dressing room (where he had post-its everywhere for things he had to do, calls to return, etc.), he sat down, and called Martha. Talked with her for a half an hour. About everything. Biggest thrill of her life.

Thank you again for your kind words. And thanks for the advice. I'll check out the link. Boy you must really know this business... the one I'm fumbling my way through. It is all a little daunting and I'm learning every day. Television is nothing like this.

Oh, and thanks as well for your nice words about Hill St. I was at MTM for a couple of years and wrote for several of their shows. Hill St. I especially admired, and was flabbergasted when I got to work with David Milch on it. An insane genious, if ever there was one. My focus was mostly comedy, but I so respected that show and St. Elsewhere.
    Thank you again,
    Russ

I share your sentiments on The Road. When I read your first note, I couldn't believe that there was someone who enjoyed it. I think it was poorly written - and I hear that they are actually going to make it into a movie!!!
Unfortunately, I also didn't enjoy The Alchemist as much. The story was nice, but somehow it was a tedious read for me. Plus I think that I read it before, so I kept thinking that this sounds familiar. But definitely better than The Road.

WOW! Would you believe that I am now seeing your message? Guess I am still finding my way aroung in here. So, what did you think of The Road and The Alchemist?

I love your choice of books! I am really into YA Fantasy books right now. I am reading Leven Thumps and the Whispered Secret, the second in a series of four. I plan on reading The Bartimaeus Trilogy especially after seeing you rate it so high.

I enjoyed the first chapter of your husband's book. I'll have to pick it up so I can read the rest of it.

I plan to request it next time I actually speak to someone. They have automated EVERYTHING there so I have rarely had any interaction with humans there. I miss my old library, it smelled like a library.

    Hey Robin
So I moved and am in a new library system (my old one was like your favorite t-shirt, comforting and old) my new one is steril and modern. Besides the point. They also dont have your husbands book!
